He has a monthly mix series called “Recluse Radio”  combining eclectic vibes of Disco, Funk, Electronica & Indie Dance. ** THE LONELIEST HUNK BIO **
I spent 14 years in London and then 7 years in Ibiza before returning home to NZ so have soaked up a lot of different musical vibes from both of those places. I started out as a guitarist in a band.

Around that time I also bought some decks and learnt how to mix records for house parties. I was instantly hooked. Being able to play with the energy in the room and it being a different experience every time was really exciting. 

I’ve been playing and making music pretty much my whole life across a range of genres. The musical style of The Loneliest Hunk reflects a lot of that. 

A lot of older tracks have already been reworked these days so it’s a very happy day when you find an untouched gem that you can rework into your own style.

The Architects of the Good Groove have again delved deep to find untapped disco gold material and update it for club systems and basement parties alike.
With infectious tracks plucked from obscurity, full of original touches as long extended mixes instead of the usual dull radio edits 

The four-to-the-floor pulse is imbued with a suggestive bit of shuffle and swing, with accents on the two and four. 
The grooves are more restrained than techno’s, leaning back rather than barreling forward; rich in harmony and atmosphere, buoyant as a jellyfish, bursting with lush textures and phosphorescent tones. 

The music here is highly reflexive; it allegorizes and extends the aesthetic of sampling, 
where the remixed version challenges the aura of the original and claims autonomy even when it carries the name of the original; 
material is added or deleted, but the original tracks are largely left intact to be recognizable.

Rafael Cameron - Funkdown (Pied Piper Regrooved Funkstrumental Version)

DiCE_NZ is based from Aukland New Zealand and has been making some waves on the scene with some superb edit efforts on labels such as Too Slow To Disco and Slightly Transformed. This first outing on Fingerman’s Hot Digits Music imprint sees the producer flexing his production muscles with 3 varied nu-disco tracks jam packed full of funk and a whole lot of soul. Opener “Believe Me” harks back to some sultry Groove Armada poolside vibes featuring some wonderful vocal action from Brittany Kate before we move into some bubbling acid flecks on the funk filled mid tempo stomper “Don’t Ya Know”. The third track from DiCE_NZ brings things down for some gorgeous slo-mo funk of title cut “The Situation” which wouldn’t be out of place in a 90’s soulful hip-hop set due to its laidback vibe and breezy vocal touches. Remix action comes from Hot Gorilla Records Andy Buchan who ramps up the Sax with his great version of “Believe Me”, dubbing out the vocals and giving it some great floor appeal. Finally Fingerman grabs “Don’t Ya Know” by the horns and fills it with sharp percussion and punchy beats with his rework.

Reshaping the groove of the originals and turning them into a fluttering disco-funk delight, it's an incredibly tasteful, smooth collection that until now has been out of reach of all but a very select few spinners. 
Having got the juices flowing this is a selection of tight-but-loose chunky hazy rhythm-focussed disco-era jams with a sturdy backbeat, a workout fit for peak-time dancefloors, a soul drenched and funky groove train that never lets up, packed withchunky drum breaks carrying you as far as you want to go.
