The third compilation (of four instalments) in the Various Artists catalogue of Pi Electronics is hitting physical and digital stores around the globe on the 10th of February 2023.

The concept of releasing artists, who performed at π parties (2014-2019) along with musicians who stood close to the label before and during its activity, gathers 18 tracks to the Limitation Compilation.

Music by New York City industrial legend Adam X, Swedish master mind producer Peder Mannerfelt and Irish Techno figure, Eomac (also one half of Lakker) finally takes its place on the label catalogue, along with tracks by the electro side of Italian born producer, Alessandro Adriani and the sound-aesthetic of UK hailing musicians, Slave to Society (formerly AnD ) and Sam KDC.
Berlin artists Alekzandra and Interviews appear with a synth leaning piece, and a hypnotic, broken techno contribution respectively.
You can also meet the sound of Tel Aviv’s finest electro duo TV.OUT on this release, which also includes a rare collaboration track by Ireen Amnes and Gramrcy.
Finally, ‘Limitation’ presents music by Greece affiliated acts of different backgrounds: from the dreamy guitars of Monochromatic Visions and the ambient/drone of Devika, to the broken beats of Zevla and Ønly, as well as the rolling techno of Thanos Hana. Not to mention the textures of noise band Phallucipher, the industrial slo mo techno of Thessaloniki’s, Archaic Intellect, and the noise-techno of label founder, 3.14.

A crossroad of different genres and production styles is offered in the formats of Double Vinyl Sampler, Double CD and digital for this compilation, titled “Limitation”.

With the 10th anniversary of the π project this year, Pi Electronics proudly presents the second Remixes 12” of the label’s various artists series, featuring remixed tracks from the “Divide & Rule” compilation. Following the first record of this compilation remixes concept, “Variable Remixes” in 2021, we now bring you the second instalment: “Divide & Rule Remixes” (PEVA04). Original tracks by Stave, Lycurgus, Kondaktor, and Elements of Joy are remixed by label favourites Samuel Kerridge, Templeyard Studios, Monrella, and Sawf. Appreciated by aficionados of hybrid Bass Music, Eue (pronounced as you like...) soon boasts some thirty releases (Album - Ep's - Singles), feat. with a dozen musicians and as many different labels (U.SA, U.K, France, Ukraine). He works in a palette that extends from Neo Soul to Drum n' Bass, as well as from Lo-Fi Hip Hop to Industrial Techno. Used to performing in France and Ukraine, his releases of live shows (guitar and keyboard in hands) oscillate between dancefloor and concert formats. Attentive listening and letting off steam. Creating a dark and psychedelic atmosphere that would be the perfect soundtrack to a film noir or a dystopian thriller.

Some records don’t just make sound — they dig deep. Pensées transversales, the new EP by French producer Eue, is one of them: five tracks plunging into a mechanical, alienated world where industrial techno meets heavy bass and the twisted energy of braindance.
The textures are raw, metallic, suffocating. Kicks strike like pistons, synths cave in under their own weight. Eue isn’t here to seduce — he shapes a dystopia haunted by collapse, neither better nor worse, only stripped of illusion.
Yet in the noise, there’s catharsis. Pensées transversales are a purge, a way to confront chaos head-on. The sound becomes a scream, a shelter, a frantic dance through anxiety toward truth.
The EP’s visuals deepen the impact: four videos expanding the nightmare. From sterile supermarkets to factory hell (as the track “Metropolis”, featuring Ukrainian artist Tineidae), a raw image of social breakdown unfolds. Then comes an abstract architecture — cold, brutal, disembodied, and finally twisted figures writhe and rebel in one last burst of frantic life.
In Pensées transversales, sonic brutality is a means to survive. A music that wounds, shakes — and frees.

Berlin’s Swarm Intelligence joins NEW YORK TRAX Imports to release four fierce, off-beat techno and electro cuts. Tense atmospherics, uncompromising levels of distortion and stark, astute beats constitute a distinctive sound that Swarm Intelligence has been honing for more than a decade seeing him release on labels such as VOITAX, Ad Noiseam, Earwiggle and many more. The Dublin-born, Berlin-based producer is certainly no stranger to the techno world and his reputation of performing menacing live sets and deploying emphatic productions will leave an enduring impression on any listener. ‘NEW YORK TRAX Imports 04’ sees Swarm Intelligence join the New York Trax sub-label following the likes of Drvg Cvltvre, Endlec, Dawid Dahl and Another Alias. ‘Bury’ begins proceedings with powerful, syncopated drums fused with growling oscillations and haunting leads before intense vibrations scattered around resilient percussion and machine-like synth swirls take the focus in ‘Extraction’. On the flip, ‘Verloren’ maintains the sinister atmospherics through distorted kicks, eerie modulations and alarming feels until ‘Reach’ which recorded live, rounds things off with shooting, laser zaps, dramatic soundscapes and broken rhythms emphatically closing this fiery four track EP.

The 7th Pi Electronics release hosts Chicago based producer, Jonathan Krohn, also known as Stave. It also includes a remix by Bristol based artist, known by the name Pessimist.

Some might be familiar with Stave’s music from his involvement with the collaborative project “Talker”. Here on this solo take, he delivers 4 original tracks to showcase his varied approach to Techno. From fast, drone oriented broken beats, to emotional synth melodies and industrial leaning hypnotic techno, PI07 shows the artist at his most expressive. The release is topped up by the remix of Drum and Bass affiliated artist Pessimist, who reworks track PI07.4 in his methodically dark style.
