We are very pleased to welcome Second Tension as our 36th guest on the Kaos London podcast series with a live mix of new music created for the Kaos London showcase at Astron Club, Athens in July 2024.

Second Tension is a project by Stavros Tilkeridis, a Greek artist and DJ. Stavros started creating music back in the early nineties, with next to no access to the outside world. He started with tape loops, not too dissimilar to those by Pierre Schaffer, and got his hands on his first sampler, Mpc 2000xl, by the late nineties. Stavros was introduced to rave culture in the early two-thousands and experimented his way through them, using his music to search for a deeper, hidden meaning. He started Second Tension in 2016 as an attempt to capture a progressive spirit in electronic music, combining primitive and industrial aesthetics. With 3 EPs and an LP  on Persephonic Sirens, and several  released on OSM Tapes, and Monolith.

Mogano is the moniker of Italian-born and Berlin-based electronic music producer Marco Berardi. In his DJ and live performances, he explores Techno, Industrial, Breaks, and Electronic music spectrums, often combining cinematic soundscapes with raw and deep drum structures.
 
A few of the international events he has performed at include Contort (NewCodes - Berlin Atonal), Tresor (Berlin), OLAM (Bratislava), Astron Bar (Athens), GEGEN (Berlin), SUBVERTED (Berlin), ATOM Festival (Ukraine), Krake Festival (Berlin), OHM (Berlin), Freqs of Nature (DE), Modern Bön, RoBOt Festival (Bologna), amongst others, sharing the stage with artists such as Samuel Kerridge, Pact Infernal, JK Flesh, Broken English Club, Presha, Positive Center, Dadub. 

Since his debut on Arboretum in 2015 with "Sycomore EP", signed with the iconic remix of Samuel Kerridge, his music has been published by labels such as Voidance Records, Liber Null, and Dead Svn Records. 

Reviewed and premiered in Magazine such as FACT Magazine, Resident Advisor and KALTBLUT MAG, his productions and mixes appear on radio shows like Entropy Radio (Hong Kong), Noods Radio (UK), Movements Radio (GR), The Forgotten (Mexico), Knife (Argentina), Lethal Curse (Poland) and Berlin Community Radio. 

Since 2014 he has also been the curator and owner of Arboretum, an electronic music record imprint.

The main project of French artist Théo Ferretti, MIND I MATTER is rooted in the darkness of black metal and post-punk. Ferretti blends industrial, EBM and techno to create an esoteric, existential listening experience. After being released on labels like Detriti, Intervision and Persephonic Sirens, and appearing on stages such as Berlin’s RSO, Tbilisi’s KHIDI and more recently, Seoul’s Volnost, MIND I MATTER has been invited to contribute to Phase Fatale’s label, BITE’s 5th-anniversary compilation, “Shedding Skin”.

For the seventh session of the Schallkraft series, we present Rubén Seoane, producer and Dj resident in Moog Bcn. His sessions cover almost all styles within techno, electro, acid, industrial and other more experimental sub-genres; always looking for new ways to keep surprising attendees, creating atmospheres in which there is room for all genres of electronic dance music.
In 2021 released his first EP "Disinformation" on the Persephonic Sirens label of Ancient Methods.
