Following their debut release 'Swung Blind EP' on Moonless Air, German duo and label heads, Piemont, offer you their second instalment to their imprint with 'Caress EP'.

Kicking off with 'Caress My Body', the duo pits together a punchy snare rolling drum pattern against a modular synth stab that slowly morphs and grows into a wide range of tricky synth interludes. Female vocal cuts are chopped, filtered and layered heavily over its driving snare rolls, giving this piece a truly crisp and energetic feel.

A driving tech-house groover, 'Endless Sea' effortlessly takes the EP one step deeper, constructing a warm ambience through its plethora of floating chords that resonate smoothly against a rumbling bassline. Layered over the top are ominous and intriguing melodic synth lines that elegantly twinkle around the tracks intensifying and warbling chord work. Adding in some tricky percussive work, eerie vocal chords and morphing synth lines, the duo once again creates both an eerie yet encapsulating tech-house atmosphere.

Moonless Air is back with a fantastic fourth release, this time from Piemont. The taste-making duo have long been turning out essential dance music tunes that keep the underground alive and now they do so again with two more terrific cuts after many releases on labels like Glasgow Underground, Toolroom Records, and many, many more.

Surrounded is first and is a lively tech tune with a busy synth line dancing about and bringing real dynamic to the groove. Big synths add drama and the rumbling baselines keep you moving. It's a crisp, well executed tune with plenty of fresh flavours.

Sleepyhead then pumps the deeper end of the house spectrum with slick drums and hi hats and flowing bass. It’s melodic and hypnotic with dreamy vocal sounds and is sure to get the floor into a trance.

This is another terrific pair of tracks from two of the best in the game.

‚Reflective Soul‘ is the name of this brandnew catchy house tune with a special twist. 'The Random' brings together the guys sound of rich classic house drums alongside the always careful thought out melodic patterns, creating a unique blend of sounds in which their partnership has flourished so well within. Whether it's the tuned percussion or the deep whirring synths that dance across the duration of the track, this one keeps you on your toes throughout.

Just in time for the festive and New Years Eve plans The Random is surely set to make appearances on dance floors on the global scale.

Piemont continue their run of fine form into the New Year, offering up a single release on their own label Moonless Air. One thing the German duo can guarantee is an infectious groove and uplifting melodic elements to see you on into the early hours, and ‘Air Rider’ does just that.

Launching into almost tribal feel drums, a trippy melody echoes throughout the top regions. Further melodic elements swell and billow throughout carrying you along what is a mesmerising journey, one that keeps you on your toes and your hands raised to the sky. Tech titans Piemont are back with part 2 of their Selective Air compilation, this time serving up four more of their majestic club cuts. 

Air Rider 2000 is first and has a spooky, freaky late night vine thanks to the lead synth line that sucks you in. Reflective Soul is deeper and darker, with a moody pad lingering in the air above textured stabs and icy hi hats. It’s a spaced out cut for the dead of night and The random then has synths stepping up and down the sequence and taking you with it. It's inventive stuff with plenty of musical charm before closer Selfish Prayer II keeps you locked in suspense with gorgeous watery keys and a soul infused vocal.

These are four more house tracks with their own sense of style and plenty of fresh ideas.

In 2019 Frederic left the project.

German duo Piemont has proven itself to be an absolute production power-house over the last decade. Made up of long-time friends Frederic and Chris, the pair first decided to hook up and make music together back in 2007 and, since then, have gone on to establish themselves as one of the foremost partnerships in techno and have been releasing Music on acclaimed labels like Monaberry, Lapsus Music, Glasgow Underground, Exploited and Toolroom. 

In 2017 they started their own label 'Moonless Air' with the aim of creating a place of creativity for Piemont's own sound.
