“I wanted to write something super straightforward about the current state of things and how I feel. I just sat down and screamed all of it out in 10 minutes. We’re all fed up, really. The world is in a messed up place right now and I feel it is important to be vocal about it. It felt vulnerable at first, to just say things for what they are… but I think it’s very needed. We’re living in this overly positive society where often you’re made to feel like you’re moaning if you speak about negative stuff. That’s how the concept for “neggy” came about. We’re complaining, we’re neggy, and you know what? We should be”. - Danio

The chorus of the song features samples of “New Song” and “Who Knows? Who Cares” by the band Sream. They're some of the nicest people we’ve ever spoken to. The voice of Pete encapsulates perfectly the emotions we wanted to convey. Thanks Scream.
