Optimistic For The Sake Of Sanity

This is a delightful departure from my norm. I’ve always loved the Wayfarer cloud, and suggested a collaboration. DG sent me this powerful, haunting music, and the whole song lyric was written within a few hours of listening to it. This is the first time I’ve written something to another piece of music. Thanks a million for such a pleasurable and novel experience, DG. Such a joy working with you on this!

Cloudy Charlie (w Wayfarer DG)

Combining childhood and later relationship memories with the early sounds of electric piano: first heard on Help!  "Chalking up belief" references 'Chalking up the Hurt" in the great Michael McDonald song 'Real Love' from the time when he created amazing piano based pop-rock, now termed Yacht Rock. And the song title 'Your Gold Teeth ii is of course piano based from the highly influential Steely Dan and makes a nice rhyme with 'room.'

The oldest terminal station in the world was Crown Street railway station in Liverpool, England, built in 1830, on the locomotive-hauled Liverpool to Manchester line. The first stations had little in the way of buildings or amenities.  Early stations were sometimes built with both passenger and freight facilities, though some railway lines were goods-only or passenger-only, and if a line was dual-purpose there would often be a freight depot apart from the passenger station.

Many stations date from the 19th century and reflect the grandiose architecture of the time, lending prestige to the city as well as to railway operations.  Countries where railways arrived later may still have such architecture, as later stations often imitated 19th-century styles. Train stations built more recently often have a similar feel to airports, with a simple, abstract style.

Records:
• The world's busiest passenger station, with a passenger throughput of 3.5 million passengers per day (1.27 billion per year), is Shinjuku Station in Tokyo.
• The world's station with most platforms is Grand Central Terminal in New York City with 44 platforms.
• The world's station with the longest platform is Hubli Junction railway station with a platform length of 1,505 metres (4,938 ft) and is located in Karnataka, India.
• The world's highest station above ground level (not above sea level) is Smith–Ninth Streets subway station in New York City.
• Coney Island – Stillwell Avenue in New York City is the world's largest elevated terminal with 8 tracks and 4 island platforms.
• Shanghai South railway station, opened in June 2006, has the world's largest circular transparent roof.
• Penn Station is the busiest train station in the Western hemisphere serving more than 430,000 commuter passengers a day.

First of all, thank you for your listens, comments, reposts and support of my music. (you can continue without moderation).
I've been on SoundCloud for more than three years and it's a pleasure to have met you. But time is running out and I would like to be able to continue this adventure at the same pace... but that is no longer possible.
Rest assured, I will continue to listen to you, like, repost, but it is also important that I work on my future titles to introduce them to you. I'm always in sound design research mode, it fascinates me and takes up all my time and more.
