The Shapeshifters teases the deluxe edition of their 2022 studio album ‘Let Loose’ with a remix from Aeroplane. The long-awaited release on Glitterbox saw Simon Marlin work with luminaries from the world of disco, house and soul like Billy Porter, Joss Stone, Kimberly Davis and Teni Tinks, and the album succeeded in pushing The Shapeshifters sonic aesthetic, retaining the brassy, string flourishes and colourful instrumentation that we have come to expect. A year later, ‘Let Loose: Deluxe’ bolsters the original LP with remixes from fellow Glitterbox mainstays. Belgian disco producer Aeroplane remixes ‘Giving Me Something Better’ featuring Obi Franky, mixing rhythmic synth goodness into the funk-laden OG.

Originally released in September 2023, the Swiss electronic project Shakedown joined forces with American record producer, vocalist and funk legend Bootsy Collins for an instant classic that has soundtracked the label’s extravagant parties ever since. Now the producer, DJ and member of esteemed electronic band Club Cheval Myd steps up on remix duties, adding his eclectic flair to the funk-laden record. The Ed Banger signed artist’s remix of ‘Funky And You Know It’ takes the rolling feel of the original and ups the tempo, injecting a dose of nu disco into the already uplifting track and ensuring the distinctive vocals of Bootsy Collins are heard on global dancefloors for years to come.
