Pre-pandemic, Boogie Cafe released a compilation of various emerging artists from Bologna titled 'Bologna On The Move'. This time the focus is on a new wave of amazingly talented producers coming through from Rotterdam NL. The compilation 'Rotterdam On The Move' which Arrhytmia is taken from, is dedicated to the more soulful, jazz influenced sound emerging from the city, in contrast to the city's reputation for Techno, Electro and the harder edge of dance culture.

The 6 track compilation features music from OG Wang, Chezz, Dikkens,  Kofi The Unknown, Beau Zwart & Sykes and will be dropping early September on Boggie Cafe Records.

Assigned with the task of reshaping one of Conclave’s most kinetic tracks, Love Injection Fanzine/Records extended family members Craig Handfield and Brandon Weems of musclecars’s “Alati Yeye Chege (Remix)” shrewdly emphasizes the soulful intimacy at the heart of the original. Gradually building from congas, the duo unfurls a joyous and percolating four-on-the-floor groove, piano and synth lines nimbly darting about Cesar’s layered vocals with the finesse of the dancers it will surely inspire. Best of all, though, is a surprise false ending that gives way to an exhilarating coda – an eruption of percussion and flute that closes out the track.

Yes people! Oliver Night is back with a brand new six-track EP - including remixes from the legendary AtJazz & Mitch von Arx.  Here is a taster from the EP - the Mitch Von Arx remix of Welcome, exclusively premiered on the Selectors Souncloud!  The EP will be out on CoOp Presents on the 5th of Aug. CoOp Presents are pleased to "welcome" back Oliver Night, with a brand new six-track EP, including remixes from Atjazz and Mitch von Arx.

Following up his brilliant early 2019 EP 'Make Believe', his EP once again illustrates Oliver's prowess for producing deep bruk business. This follows releases on the label from the likes of EVM128, Groove Chronicles, Risa T, LCSM, Sivey, Neue Grafik, Danvers &amp; Reginald Omas Mamode, furthering the mission statement of label bosses IG Culture &amp; Alex Phountzi to create a strong platform for new bruk talent and beyond, from London to the world.

For those that don't know, East London's Oliver Night is a rising talent in the bruk world. In addition to his own productions, collaborating with artists such as Jay Phelps &amp; BB James, he recently featured on Adelaide producer Inkswel's 'Trippin' (which reached No.1 on the Traxsource Deep House chart) on Atjazz's label, as well as the title track of his new album 'Chasing Infinity' (which also features Lee Scratch Perry, Steve Spacek, Mr Scruff, Dudley Perkins, Kaidi Tatham &amp; Talib Kweli of Black Star). There were also recent features on Parisian producer Quiet Dawn's highly acclaimed 'Movements' EP on Worldwide Award-winning London label First Word&nbsp;Records, and on Jimpster's recent album 'Birdhouse' on Freerange Records.

Now approaching two decades in the DJ game, Oliver was originally a member of Roots Manuva's Banana Klan, and nowadays is a regular player for the Selectors Assemble gang. He's played at various venues across the capital, from the Tate Modern to Boiler Room, and on Worldwide FM with the CoOp Presents crew. Previous support has come far and wide from selectors such as Tony Humphries, Kerri Chandler, Jazzie B, Gilles Peterson, Kid Fonque, Rainer Trueby, Jamz Supernova &amp; Seth Troxler, and press from the likes of Bolting Bits and Music Is My Sanctuary.

So to the new EP… An entirely self-produced solo effort, it kicks off - of course - with 'Welcome', the title track. A deep commanding vocal leads the proceedings, accompanied with some Detroit Techno-tinged keys, acid squelches and occasional chopped Jungle-esque breaks. We follow this with a piece of 'Heart' - warped arpeggiated synths lead the way here, whilst also featuring some seriously soulful vocals again from Oliver himself. Things get tougher next with 'Bruk N Bass'; as the title suggests, this one has some heavy D&amp;B influences with a seriously growling b-line and ravey synth stabs, riding a fiery bruk backbeat. The EP closes out on a more leftfield tip; 'Slated' is a deeper one, which begins with a brooding key pattern setting things off in a slightly deceptive fashion, before switching to some stripped-back bruk, containing just the right amount of sample hits and bassweight, with a mind-melting breakdown midway to boot. The set is complete with two firing remixes from Atjazz and Mitch von Ark respectively.

Oliver says "this EP is a fusion of my favourite genres - broken beat, soul, techno, house and drum 'n' bass. I've put my 'Heart' into this and would love to 'Welcome' you into my ever evolving world…"

Wild Oats proudly presents a new 7 inch from Kyle Hall entitled ‘Eutrophia Sevan’. This project is an ode to the earth and its plant based life forms that give us sustenance, nurturing, and knowledge through both its cultivation, observation, and consumption.

Additional Notes & Thoughts:

It is my understanding that all energetic material in which we interact with serves as a software of a kind that is loaded into our systems via our five senses and influence the manner in which we behave and process our realities.

Plants have many ways of interacting with our senses. One form of this sensory interaction with plants is the ingestion of them for the purpose of intoxication. In this form the plant sends information to our neural networks which we interpret as sensation of a shift in our state of mind, body, and spirit. When a plant of this type is in the hands of a creative mind, these shifts in ones perspective can allow for the possibility of the integration of new concepts and ideas that can provide insight in an array of aspects of its consumers life experience. From this unification one now begins to see the connection between things that were once to them seemingly unrelated. These teachings then become motifs that then can be applied to whatever the creative individuals mode of expression is.

Of course we also eat certain plants to provide sustenance, nourishment and satiation. The Sweet Potato root is one of these plants that provide this for us. Having a feeling of being full, nourished, and satisfied gives a stronger capacity to be grounded. Being grounded allows for us to focus and align ourselves with what we must do in order to attract what we personally need in our lives.

Eating a plants fruit, taking its seed and caring for it till it grows into plant itself is a symbolism of the overall connection between all life and all processes that occur with in it. This indicates that plants contain a level of supreme intelligence that can only be tapped into by our communion and honoring of them.
