We’re hitting the ground running on this next one as Toolroom welcomes mysterious UK duo Wh0 & Brighton powerhouse Kideko for their main label release. Teaming up together on ‘Soul Searcher’, Wh0 & Kideko bring a fresh touch to the label with a sound that skirts the world of 2000’s Daft Punk French House vibe but with a more refined edge. 
 
Wh0 have released on Toolroom and the sub label Toolroom Trax previously, with the killer ‘Real Good’ & Dombresky collab ‘Take Me Away’, Kideko on the other hand makes his Toolroom debut. An established name in the scene already, Kideko has released cuts on Ministry of Sound, Stress Records, Realm and many more, collaborating with artists such as Friend Within, Armand Van Helden and Kudu Blue to name a few. 
 
Although we might not really know who Wh0 are, given the result of this record, it’s clear to see that the duo are a perfect match for a collab with Kideko. Together, they have dropped a full blown, feel-good House production. From the get-go, ‘Soul Searcher’ hooks you in with its incredible use of the 1976 classic D.C Larue ‘Cathedrals’ sample layered with tough drums and plenty of weight to keep those dance floors moving. There are some awesome brass hits that swirl around the filtered-out rising piano chords and a killer vocal ‘Don’t stop the music now it’s deep inside my soul’. Safe to say Kideko & Wh0 have absolutely smashed this!

James brings his own deep-tech touch with a nice vocal filled with lovely themes on 'Olympia'. The dutch remixer, Jesse Jacob (who had releases a labels like: Heavy House Society, Elrow limited, Lacuna rec. MetaFloor, Ovrdose deep, Rawsome Deep, Blind Vision and his own Airtime) adding a super groovy flavour remix! This version's bass line will be a bomb on the dancefloor for sure...

'I Love Kecel' is a more classical deep house stuff which is dedicated to the legendary hungarian club (Club Korona Kecel) where James was resident/promoter and purchaser for near 10 years, representing lots of epic parties with names like: Marco Carola, Dubfire, Seth Troxler, Sasha, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Steve Lawler, Guy Gerber, tINI, Nick Curly just a name of few.

Jennings. who had a massive releases at Pitch, Orange, Rawsome Deep, Swerve, Flirt delivering a more deeper, epic and atmospheric sound.

We’ve reached our 14th iteration of This Is Night Bass and it’s a well-rounded mix of talented artists and unique sounds. From old friends to fresh faces, UKG to bass house, this dynamic curation represents who we are. Label boss AC Slater kicks off the release with his archetypal bassline swagger on ‘Dibby Dibby DJ’, following that is Hans Glader’s low-swinging grooves on garage heater ‘Nostalgia’ featuring rap flows from SG. The heavy house beats of ‘Kilos’ from Basura Boyz and Tombz take the energy up a notch right into Badger’s UKG-influenced ‘High Like This’ with Ak Renn on the vocals. ANDRSN joins the Night Bass fam with synth-driven ‘Move Like’ featuring PVC. Two of our NB Freshmen seal off the comp starting with 1997 and his bass-house banger ‘Dial’, followed by fellow graduate Chuck Shadow with the dark and savage sounds of ‘War Cry’.

Parisian born and US based tech house producer Shiba San debuts on Toolroom with a seriously wonky affair alongside studio buddy, AYAREZ, aptly titled ‘Twist It’. The French producer extraordinaire had a hugely successful 15-year career in the hip-hop scene before the Chicago House sound lured him into the 4/4 beats that he is now renowned for, and he has never looked back. Consistently selling out shows the world over, Shiba San really is in the elite sector of DJ’s and producers on the circuit.

His track ‘OK’ propelled his to stardom seemingly overnight in the House scene and that record sits on an impressive 30m streams on Spotify alone and with more recent releases on Dirtybird, Basement Leak and Club Sweat, Shiba San is firmly at the top of his game and is going nowhere. On the collab is AYAREZ who joins Shiba on this one, a fellow Miami-dweller, and the 2 of them hit the nail on the head here with insane twisted bass lines, whirling FX and bundles of dance floor energy. A welcomed debut from a shining light of the scene!
