Ancillary Sword is the second book in Ann Leckie's trilogy. It has all the froth of "civilised" society (drinking tea from prized tea sets) but with deep undercurrents of enslavement and genocide in its history. 
I've tried to capture some of that duality... perhaps it makes it a bit odd? Anyway, here it is!
The art work is by Lauren Saint-Onge from the cover of a limited edition of the book.
