i live/work by a huge military base, you never know what kind of war sounds are going to pop in
you otherwise mostly peaceful forest life
machine guns are a favorite, but droning mystery hums,  bombs sounds, and aircraft noise have staring roles. the best is TAPS at night 10 pm, a bugle thing in the morning 6 am (hard to hear over traffic sounds), and sometime meal time bugles.

when your otherwise peaceful life is punctuated by sounds from military practice

i had to boil my soy beans, make frozen chocolate covered bananas, make salad toppings and dressing from scratch, get groceries, go to pharmacy, do banking, go for hike, fix a computer, order computer parts, order more stuff, plus all the usual chores and barely have any time to listen to or make music. it is like all the once a week chores piled onto today randomly. and tomorrow is clean the septic tank filter day plus another thing. oh well, then after that i will have time but pretty soon i will have to clean the roof again because of the storm

This time, we decided to do a cover based on Xian3’s idea. He has already uploaded his own version. It made me realize once again how interpretation can give such breadth to the same song. I believe that being able to enjoy music this freely is truly important.
