On a - somewhat - sunny day
I watched the golden leaves
As they floated away

I sat down by the river
On that autumn day
I looked at the city behind me
It had nothing more to say

I sat down by the river
With a dream to go away
Leaving life as I knew it
Knowing bloody well that I would stay

Give me a kiss
Give me a smile
A moment of love
In that oldfashion style

I sat down by the river
On that fateful day
And for every choice I ever made
There was a price to pay

When I sat down by the river
A pretty flower spoke to me
I didn't know the language
So the message was a mystery

or will I breeze though your mind like a plain old daily grind
never found in the night when you dream about times 
you would like to invite to your life to live free?

I will hold on for as long as I can
I will hold with every tissue of my hand
I will watch your eyes sleep till the dawn
until new day is born
that's how you came one day

All these years I've been running blind
All this years I've been wasting time
but with you in my life 
I have found winding road
leading straight to the heart of delight
