I am very proud to present you Tronic's 500th release. When I started the label close to 30 years ago, I never thought that it would reach such a milestone. There have been many highs and lows, but what kept us going was the true passion for honest house and techno and always trying to push forward! This release features three of my tracks as well as a remix from techno OG Joey Beltram. Turbo makes a passionate case for German representation in techno with this EP from Gregor Tresher featuring Sven Väth.

Rarity used to mean something. Limited pressings. DJ autographs. The one and only Mona Lisa. Now  that we’re dancing in the digital land of plenty, that’s all gone the way of one-night jeans. With ALL of this mind, consider the following facts about our latest EP and get ready to get rare.

- This collaboration between longtime collaborators Gregor Tresher & Sven Väth marks debuts on Turbo for both artists. Rarity Score: 9.2. Real world equivalent: an honest man in Washington, DC.

- Gregor brought the groove, while Väth performs vocals on both tracks, which is rare AND special. Rarity Score: 9.7. Real world equivalent: NFT of “Tiga’s Comet”.

- Väth rarely releases music on labels other than his own Cocoon Recordings. Rarity Score: 9.4. Real world equivalent: a handsome man in Washington, DC.

As for the music, “Flashback” instantly transports you to the exact moment you experienced ego death at an illegal rave called either “Perception Transmission” or “Morph Car.” Meanwhile, “I See You” follows through on its titular threat to validate your emotions. 

Finally, with all this talk going around about the importance of rarity, please remember that what’s truly special is the bond we share as label and listener. As far as we’re concerned, you are NOT numbers in a spreadsheet. You are NOT completely interchangeable. You are NOT the sort of people we would actively avoid in person.
