Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

<p>Label boss Sasha Carassi is back and takes no prisoners in these two storming cuts. &#8220;Citrus&#8221; kicks things off with looped-out samples and steamrolling drums, while an anthemic riff creeps out from behind the shadows, instantly elevating the affair to the next level. &#8220;L.S.F.&#8221; picks up from there with the evilest of arpeggios and mangled vocals, as everything is shrouded in thick, dark air, evolving into an evil masterpiece.</p>

We are happy to tell you that our next release will be a compilation with five tracks from excellent artists on board with the perfect name 'The Variety Of The Mind'. For this first V.A. release we could win no one less than Piemont, fran&co, Hermanez, Matchy & Bott and Andlee & Kollektiv KlangGut.
With track number one of our compilation, 'Alive', Piemont deliver a tech house bomb just as ex-pected. The two guys create a fantastic build-up and let it explode afterwards. Everything is accom-panied by groovy arp sequences and flying vocal pieces.
When the bassline of 'Shah Parvaz' by fran&co comes in, it just makes you get up and dance. Short-ly after an intense break with hypnotic vocals comes in and creates tension. A captivating synth se-quence accompanies the track and finally oriental flute sounds come in, turning this piece into some-thing really unique.
'Mutation' by Hermanez gives us different percussive sounds swirling around the room. Additional-ly, a shuffling 16th beat and modulating synth sounds make this wonderfully spacy track sound very alive and energetic.
Matchy & Bott bring in the 'Luvvibe', starting with a forward-driven bassline, powerful snares, claps and shakers. A short female vocal sequence with a lot of space marks the central element of this beautiful melancholic composition.
The track name 'So Strong' is right on the spot for the contribution of Andlee & Kollektiv KlangGut. A bass which is housy and dark at the same time and a hypnotic vocal turn this music piece into a real dance floor killer. Forward-pushing hi-hats coming in in the middle making it even more driving and ravy.
