<p>Eric Sneo&#8217;s hit &#8220;Metanoia&#8221; gets updated and first up is a beefed-up version with an assortment of effects and tasty synth action injected into it. Pig &amp; Dan have taken over for the remix, and opt for a completely different approach, employing intricate percussion and crackling highs into their shuffling groove. Focusing on the main theme, the boys bring out their loopy sensibilities and let the melody shine, courtesy of their sparse arrangement and subliminal bassline.</p>

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

For the 15 years of Terminal M festivities it was a sure step to also get back into our catalogue and obviously listened to the older releases again. And it quickly came to our mind that Monika Kruses @ Voodooamt's classic 'Passengers' album from 2003 still is a true gem. So we reworked and remastered the whole album and asked close friends to select a track they wanted to remix. Oliver Huntemann, Alberto Ruiz and Skober immediately agreed and surprised us with their great new interpretations.

Clio - Reach Out (Roberto Capuano Remix)

Now in its second decade, with a steady stream of the most forward thinking and cutting edge techno productions, Drumcode has one of the biggest selections of releases from industry heavy hitters, whilst not forgetting its future by bringing the newest talented producers into the limelight, where Layton Giordani is now a name firmly within that line up.

The New York born, but now EU based producer first had recognition back in 2014, and his debut release came via Drumcode with his track “Rivington” on the A-Sides Vol5 compilation in 2016. 

Consisting of 12 original tracks, the album packs a punch when it comes to no-nonsense techno. Successfully weaving relentless drums and catchy vocal hooks into a selection of thick, brooding, atmospheric tracks.

A return to the source: ‘Ribcage’ is where it all began for the Dubfire project. After years of exploring, subverting and setting brave new benchmarks in the house world, this marked the start of Ali Shirazinia setting out to set the same creative benchmarks in techno. Restrained, drawn-out but beastly when it wanted to be, the original was a serious statement of intent. Even at the time you got a sense it was going to be a historic tune. Loco Dice especially felt that when he signed it to Desolat 10 years ago.

To celebrate this time-flying milestone, Dubfire’s recruited two of the most respected names possible for remix duties. First up, the unstoppable, unavoidable, unquenchable Dense & Pika who keep within the dramatic rising template but with a whole new set of instruments and textures… And a percussion palette that absolutely sizzles when the whole groove kicks in mid-way. Phenomenal.

Hot on their heels comes a unique remix invitation to On-U legend and one of the UK’s most decorated and treasured studio controllers Adrian Sherwood. Turning in a serious techno re-cut that pays tribute to every element and takes over 12 minutes to make sure they each shine amid the head-twisting pools of tripped-out decay, it’s clear his time with Pinch has had a profound effect.
Two incredibly well considered and detailed remixes that remind you what remixes should be… Brave new chapters of a story we all love being told. These will sound great when the 20th anniversary remixes are commissioned in 2027.

Milestones are never forgotten. When "Sunshine" was doing the rounds back in the day, everyone and their mother was on it, and rightly so.

Naturally it was up to 1605 to bring the anthem of anthems to the spotlight once again and hit everyone where it hurts, with five completely different renditions.

Umek sets the record straight with a monstrous interpretation, ready to stand the test of times to come. The journey continues with D. Ramirez and his bouncing version, while Uto Karem goes the subliminal route. The mighty Filterheadz themselves have done a hi-octane 2012 remix, Filthy Rich goes for a luscious vibe, and in case you misplaced it, or have been living under a rock for the past years, the original mix is here as well.
