SEC NDº (Second Degree) is the label from one of Amsterdam’s techno starlights, respected for his highly influential and infectious dance floor ready productions.

Be it remixing Belgium’s Charlotte de Witte or Berlin’s Ellen Allien as well as releasing on her renowned label BPitch, Keith Carnal has also featured his quality tracks on labels like Emmanuel’s ARTS, Joachim Spieth’s Affin and Abstract Division’s Dynamic Reflection for example.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “MNML” that opens with a massive groove. The bouncing 909 drums are lit up with delayed claps and stabbing, crackling tones as it builds in tension and breaks down to form a functional jam full of zeal with a raw aesthetic.

For the 15 years of Terminal M festivities it was a sure step to also get back into our catalogue and obviously listened to the older releases again. And it quickly came to our mind that Monika Kruses @ Voodooamt's classic 'Passengers' album from 2003 still is a true gem. So we reworked and remastered the whole album and asked close friends to select a track they wanted to remix. Oliver Huntemann, Alberto Ruiz and Skober immediately agreed and surprised us with their great new interpretations.

A revered techno icon with 25 years DJing experience under her belt, Monika Kruse holds a special place in the hearts and minds of electronic music lovers worldwide. On the back of last year’s stunning collaborative EP ‘Colours’, she rejoins Pig&Dan to craft a dynamic trio of tracks that have been igniting her sets in recent months.

“When I first met Pig and Dan a long time ago, we just clicked from the first moment. It felt like I’d found my brothers! It’s been a really happy experience working with them over the last two years. We wanted to show our variety with this EP; ‘Sensation’ is a funky uplifting track and already got a lot of feedback when I played it at the Mixmag Lab, ‘Oblivion’ shows our love of a heavy bassline and ‘Boogie Man’ is for the trippy techno moments.” – Monika Kruse

Indigo is an Icelandic artist’s Exos fourth studio album, arriving almost two full decades after his last LP. In the meantime, the seasoned producer has never stopped to refine his production style, mastering an aesthetic that feels at once minimalist and yet richly detailed.

Spanning the organic and the electronic, drawing from early dub techno blueprints and comprising the beauty of his austere homeland. From this Exos expands an absorbing atmosphere, sustaining the primal power of nature within compositions that hold an exalted presence yet never go over-board, instead, they gently push along even in their most intense moments thus vastly transcending the pure club context.

The albums thirteen tracks are a sonic bliss to indulge in, each element is crafted so meticulously and balanced with care against its counterparts. Whether the luminous, spaciously glowing opening tracks
“Reincarnation” or “í Skjoli Naetur ”the then-ensuing hypnotic techno-trips of "Sælureitur" and "Quad arcanum Leticia" and finally the deeply satisfying, dubbed-out backbone of the album’s main body –
a series of Exos’ signature-style dub-techno cuts that he has been perfecting now for over 20 years.

Seeing it all mesh together in this concentrated form, it’s the picture of an exceptionally experienced producer pushing himself beyond any limits to achieve his greatest feat yet.

When the fog clears and the last tracks slowly roll out, the record leaves as smoothly as it had entered, allowing for reflection and contemplation of one of techno’s most exhaustive LP-efforts yet to date.

Stefan, a simple synth supported by a big tribal beat representing his unconditional love for the African female species.
