I recently found a whole bunch of mixes I did between 1992 and 1997 and have started the long process of ripping the cassettes to mp3.
As I work through them in no particular order I’ll put them up for download.
Remember the sound quality isn’t great as they were all recorded on belt drive decks through a mixer with no EQ and committed to cassette on a shabby home stereo…But what the hell, it’s that authentic 90s sound through and through.

This one is from 1993. This mixing is terrible but the tunes are great. The track list is lost in the mists of my memory I’m afraid but maybe one of you can ID all the tracks.

Solid Steel (11th April) It's another special show this week, as we celebrate 30 years of Acid with an incredible mix by Posthuman to coincide with their last I Love Acid club night at Corsica Studios, London on Saturday 12th April. This is what they say about the mix;
"We put together this mix (with a little help from fellow I Love Acid residents Mark Archer & Placid) to celebrate 30 years of acid. 
We decided to pick one track per year, since 1984 - the year Roland stopped making the 303. Starting with Chicago House, expanding out into Detroit Techno and the evolutions in the acid sound from the UK & Europe, then into the late 90's Warp/Rephlex territory, right up to the present day."
The mix starts with Chris & Cosey's 1984 classic "Dancing Ghosts" and includes tracks from Phuture, 808 State, UR, Plastikman, AFX and Luke Vibert, who will be playing at the club night, plus their own new track 'Back to Acid'

Finland might not be prolific in its output of electronic music talent, but those who do represent the country do so in fine style. Jori Hulkkonen has released a ridiculously prolific 20 albums in 20 years under various guises, as well as countless remixes for major league artists and many singles along the way. Signed by turns to Laurent Garnier's F-Communications and Tiga's Turbo Recordings, he is content occasionally poking his head into the spotlight rather than riding any wave of hype, and it's this attitude that allows him the longevity that his consistent talent deserves. His mix for Monologues. trawls through over a decade of stunning remixes.

*How would you describe your sound?*

Having made music since 1988 and released since 1993, the sound has naturally changed, or as I'd like to think, evolved during the passing years. But I'd define my sound as a producer/remixer somewhere in a world where organic, punchy, deep, floorfriendly and melodic can all co-exist without it all getting cheesy. Or that's what I tell myself.

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?*

As a producer, the roots of synthpop in the early-to-mid-'80s, and the housier side of old school Detroit from late '80s to early '90s. Basically what I was listening to when I started out 25 years ago.

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*

I've been meaning to do a mix only with own productions forever, but it's tough. Having released close to 20 albums and hundreds of 12"s it's kinda hard to know where to begin. So ended up narrowing it to only remixes I've done in the new millennium, and max 90-minute mix. It's a nice look at my productions. All the elements I keep going back again and again are there; the sizzly hats, simple yet moody chordstructures, melodic basslines.

In Hour 2, DJ Food continues with the same decade, but takes proceedings overground and compiles an hour of unofficial remixes, re-edits and versions of classic pop songs from the 80's, remodelled by fans or studio engineers with access to the separate track stems. What emerges is a collection of pop classics seen through a distorted looking glass, culled from the darkest corners of Soundcloud or the hard drives of engineers with access to audio they shouldn't have and time on their hands.
Depeche Mode remixed by a Hip Hop engineer, Tears For Fears cut to ribbons by a tape edit king, Bow Wow Wow and The Human League streamlined into a steady disco groove. Grace Jones' 'Slave To The Rhythm' gets three radically different make overs and then she covers Tubeway Army!
