A new string ensemble performing the dark and cinematic compositions of musician and composer James Osler.   

With our ever growing disconnect from the natural world, our mission is to create a sonic landscape for people reconnect with those simple and beautiful moments which can bring calm and presence to our lives, be it the sound of the rain or the awe of the cosmos.

The music captures the richness of a classical tone, whilst retaining the freedom of improvisation and the storytelling of folk like melodies. Sighting influence from artists such as Jonny Greenwood, Max Richter and Harold Budd to name a few, Pillow embarks on telling their own story of how sounds can emerge and give meaning to life’s experiences.
