Giving Chase is Hudson Valley-based musician and DJ Scotia's debut solo release on Acid Camp Records. The six-track record is a high-femme hardware journey filled with jacking rhythms, swampy acid lines, and coquettish vocals. The EP opens with a pairing of feverish acid jackers "Who Really" and "Time 2 Work." "Pillow Priestess" and title track "Giving Chase" are expressionistic grooves that explore the ups and downs of sex and romance. "Love To Hate It Too" is a cheeky love letter to acid-house culture, and Otodojo's remix of "Time 2 Work" puts the original track through a kaleidoscope of bass rhythms and textures.

Scotia co-promotes the party Community Rave Network, a monthly queer-centric event that prioritizes classic rave values of music-first ecstasy. She began buying vinyl, DJing, and making tracks while living in Brooklyn in the early 2000s. After moving back to her hometown, she began promoting parties as Outpost 1 that supported regional club sounds—making connections with Brooklyn's UK Bass upstarts Turrbotax and the ballroom scene's Mike Q. In 2011, her work in the music industry went on hiatus, returning in 2022 and since then performing at Wrecked, The Bunker, and at renegade raves and clubs down the East Coast.

Les temps sont durs et nous nous retrouvons dans une situation délicate. Au sein de notre groupe d’amix, une personne célibataire avec un enfant à charge se retrouve dans une situation de grande précarité, suite à un temps prolongé sans pouvoir travailler (problèmes de santé). Iel se fait sucrer ses aides financières petit à petit et se retrouve avec une procédure d’expulsion qui prendra effet dans moins d'un mois.

C’est ainsi, et dans l’urgence, qu’est née LA RHESS, une soirée de solidarité qui a pour vocation de récolter des fonds pour couvrir, nous l’espérons, les impayés et les frais de justice.

En complément de cet événement, et afin de multiplier les possibilités de soutien financier, une cagnotte est mise en place.

L’intégralité des fonds récoltés sera reversée directement à cette personne.

About the mix:
Joining the BULLSEYE mix series for its 6th volume, is Farsight. He's a friend, a talented producer, a fantastic DJ, and an all-around standout. He's brought an incredibly precise and phenomenal story of a mix going from ambient to a roaring emergence of power. Being in the studio as he mixed this live was something else, and was a highlight of my experience running this project. 

About Farsight:
Farsight is a Peruvian-American artist based in his native San Francisco, California. Drawing inspiration from the UK hardcore continuum, Farsight blends a diverse array of influences, showcasing an eclectic and cutting-edge style in both his productions and DJ sets. Having honed his skills for over a decade, his sound - while always infectiously rhythmic - often explores the mysterious, the arcane, and the unexpected.

With several EPs released in both digital and vinyl formats, Farsight has worked with renowned labels such as Rinse (UK), Scuffed Recordings (UK), CloudCore (UK), and Maloca Records (Belgium). His innovative sound has earned him an international following, with his most recent releases arriving on Clasico Records (UK) and WVWV (Mexico) to critical acclaim, with inclusion in Mixmag UK's "Best Albums of the Year So Far" in November 2024.

With recent support from Batu, Manuka Honey, Objekt, Paurro, Pearson Sound, Darwin, Pangaea, Anz, Interplanetary Criminal, Emerald, Ben UFO, Nikki Nair, Jaguar, Om Unit, and other selective selectors, Farsight is among some of the strongest talent in the scene today.
