The last vestiges of summer begin to fade amidst the milieu of seasonal change. Myriad golden colours herald the changing autumn leaves while warmth and beauty can still be found amongst the fading dappled sunlight. Melody and sentiment exude in bountiful supply through the work of Jan Martin. Yielding “Pillows” provide an aid to sleep, perchance to dream through whispering vocals layered in haunting fashion. 

Subtle beats provide soft bed as further vitality is coaxed through the embellishments of Russian maestro. Mango grace and poise filter through like the water from mountain spring, bubbling and sparking in ever-changing aural patterns. Trademark sounds and Japanese inspired dub isolate immaculate motifs and sequences.

Juxtaposed, precision Austrian engineering from the creative mind of a legend; Karl Moestl carves out regular shapes from polished stone to create further life and happiness. Metronomic beats and shuffling percussion glide in modern ingenuity carefully placed within the context of original arrangement in all its silky glory. Ilnaz Tarkhanov, better known on the scene as Cramp, is the second producer to release a full-length, full-featured artist album on Intricate Records. The longplay is entitled «That's How We Roll» and will be a debut album in Cramp’s discography.

In the past, Ilnaz was a part of various musical unions including Neoblizz, Elastic2Plastic and Ultrashokers. To date, he is a succeed musician with a known name and one of the most talented authors of the Eastern Europe. Numerous releases on leading labels like Flashover, Enhanced, Anjunabeats, Vandit and Armada Music, regular appearances in radio shows including A State Of Trance, Trance Around The World (nowadays – Group Therapy), Global DJ Broadcast and, of course, long-term support from A-league DJs turned Ilnaz into a renown global player. Despite that, he does not boast the glory and still belongs to the type of artists who prefer to do their thing instead of gaining reputation points at every available case.

The collaboration between Cramp and Intricate Records started in the year 2012 with the single «Bombay» and its sequel, an also very sought-after and in-demand production, «2030 A.D.». Furthermore, Cramp made remixes for the label and appeared on the tracklists of Intricate’s signature compilations. At the end of 2014 the label released Cramp’s most successful work to date, the single entitled «The Ghost Town (Invisible)», – it was the forerunner of this Kazan City-based musician.

According to the general idea of the author, the album «That's How We Roll» was intentionally created without any stylistical limitations. In the frames of a longplay Ilnaz decided to reflect the entire creative experience that he gained during the latest five years, each part of the album was carefully crafted to be individual, beautiful, high-spirited and melodic. The album genre could be briefly defined as “progressive”, mostly it’s melodic incorporation: from the calm and experimental «Silent City» and punchy «Heartbeat» to «I Feel You» with a jazzy groove and a trendy processed male voice. At the same time, for example, the track «Rain Fall» shows Cramp constructing bridges to dubstep with its characteristic saw cuts, while in «Buggy Funk» the listeners might trace broken beats and acid motives; the final track of the album, «I.M.O.K.», is a separate Drum ‘n’ Bass entity.

«When there are no stylistical limits set, while one does not have to follow the strictly defined «format» in the epoch of trendy movements, it is much easier to do the creative work – Cramp says. – I consider it to be more fascinating, when this «format» is absent. This fact has psychologically set me free, it let me off the leash and became the main motive to finalize the album and let it be heard, show it to the world».

I admit, it’s an honour for me to be number two, after him, – Cramp honestly explains. – We’re partners with Intricate Records since the moment of their launch, I’m a friend of all label’s co-founders. Every next year brings more and more people to the army of the label’s followers and fans, this is a good sign that Intricate team is moving in the right direction and doing the proper steps in further development. I got a carte blanche with my debut album, that’s why it turned out to be such a highly fascinating one. That's how we roll!».

Cramp - I.M.O.K. [Intricate Records]

Our 50th release is a milestone for us and we present to all of 
you this special collaborative 7 track EP between rising 
Polish progressive house artist Adam Sobiech, and sultry
Japanese singer Ai Takekawa, both of whom have a lot of
releases with various labels and artists. 'Break The Light',
is also sung in Japanese, 'Yoru Wo Koete' (Behind The Light).

For remixes, we turn to our PD regulars from Japan, 06R, Ryo 
Nakamura, Zanio and our resident artist from Germany, Nihilum 
and debuting for the first time at Pineapple Digital is Yokohama 
native KaNa. 


Adam Sobiech’s choice of selection in synth sound and structure is of 
the higher order in this timeless piece, and Ai Takekawa’s vocal skill 
takes your breath away with the English and Japanese versions.

We’re not only gifted with Ai Takekawa’s singing, but without a doubt 
the delight of her native Japanese tongue accompanies her English 
rendition. Check the vocal melody of the Japanese version for a more 
note filled track.

06R got his hands on this tune, and spun it into one scrumptious 
beat of uplifting bass lines and softly hitting pads. The breakbeat 
style with percussions and compliments rapid chord progression that
makes for a speedier track.

KaNa decidedly goes with 'Yuro Wo Koete', the Japanese version, and what 
was done with the track can only be described as the most refreshing shower 
of rain to hit the hot earth. KaNa’s signature sound brings a tasty 
selection of chopped samples a la carte to the electro house and chillstep 
breakdown.

A remix by Nihilum follows after, who brings to us a much more chilled out 
version of the original, and he used live musicians for his remix with 
soothing guitars to be picked in lead fashion, complemented with somber 
piano and violin, this becomes an emotional dance orchestra favorite when 
the beat kicks up.

Our next remix by Ryo Nakamura is a fantastically upbeat trance tune that 
can’t be missed. High frequency pads shoot in rapid arpeggio’s like meteors 
in their storm on a clear night, and the addition of the electro-synth lead 
that accompanies the former, makes the kick, drum, and bass in this track, 
a progressive banger.

Lastly on the list is ZANIO, not least by far, he has chosen the Japanese 
vocal as well, and went to the kitchen with it. Sliced and diced vocal chops 
of Takekawa’s vocal track pepper the delicious beat of this well composed 
progressive house production. All ears will enjoy the taste of this choice 
sound.

Then we are back with more melody driven progressive music, totally made for sundrenched beaches and sunny days. We are as thrilled as ever as we see a lot of familiar faces join back on our PHW main label, as we see the collaboration between Morrison Kiers & Musty land and it is with great pleasure we see them join back on our imprint.

For those of you following the scene for a while will know that this will be a progressive journey full of emotion, sparkling melodic arrangements and a plethora of “feel good vibes” so made for the summer season. It’s as fresh as ever from them, and we don’t think they in any way will disappoint you.

To flavour things up, we see two additional remixes as well to bring out more diversity on the release and we welcome back the services of Poland based producer Ledo to the family once more. For those, who been with us in the past knows this is a producer making echos through his trademark melody driven music, and here is another one walking that alley, as we see another phenomenal remix, including rich melodic arrangements and textures. It is as fresh as ever from this up and coming producer and we can already reveal that in a few weeks time, you will be able to hear him through the label again, but for now, enjoy this masterpiece from Ledo. 

The second of the remix, is a more high octane and energetic production, taking us to to Vienna, Austria and a welcome return on the label from rising talent Axxound. He has established himself as a producer known for his fusion of trance and melodic progressive and that is right where he will put us through his journey. Be ready for vocal samples added on, as well as a boosted energy level that we definitely feel is to give you a rush. 

Superb stuff created guys, and we are thrilled to see you back on the label!

and counting. Dave is one of the few DJ's in

dance music effortlessly from the 70's to 
EDM. A turntablist at heart. He is called the 
Master DJ, "the DJ for all DJ's". 

Dave is known for his ecclectic taste in music 
and his mixes which takes the listener to an 
emotional journey that mesmerizes and 
captivates. When he is not busy running his 
label or doing podcasts, he would 
sometimes do in gigs all over the world. 

What sets him apart from other dj's is his 
intensity and knowledge of music that keeps 
peopleglued to the dance floor and what 
makes his live sets unique is he makes
