Special 5th Year Anniversary, Pt. 2 - Melodic Journeys Japan

Part 2 is really special to us at Pineapple Digital. In gratitude to the majority of our producers
which hail from the land of the rising sun ; Japan. This mix of hand selected tunes has been curated
by, and mixed by, Pineapple Digital Label Director Dave Pineda and we're going big with this release!

Typical of PD fashion, where we prize unique deep house vibes and chilled ambiance, IZUMI AUDIO's
"Arch De Lune" is a perfect platform for opening with its goosebump causing, funky, square melody.
Perfect for a meeting with Clean Tears' "Magnolia", which also evokes a similar feeling. As
"Arch De Lune" seems almost the perfect fit to meet with "Magnolia"'s driving dance beat and
tribal drum influence.

Overwhelming euphoria follows with "Weine" from Puru. An electrifying execution of many elements
that bring your spirits higher and higher.

Tomoyuki Sakakida's "Astronimical" is where things really start to pick up and get exciting.
Galloping bass lines meet with incredible driving riffs those interstellar nights driving through
the journey of life. This one is a real trancer.

Warm bells fill the space that the breakdown provides in Crydits' "Once Again"-an angelic-like beat
full of the innocence of each new spring season, right in time with the Northern Hemisphere. A nice
transition bridges us to Yasuha's "Stella", with a gentle beat that comforts with a warm blanket of
sounds sparking feelings of closure and contentment.

As we continue to bridge the climax of Melodic Journeys Japan ahead, things heat up once more in "Aqua"
by Koki Kunitake; drops of vocal chops and samples envelop the soul in an embrace that could only deliver
us to the insane heights of the fun and bright breakdown.

Nhato returns to Pineapple Digital, almost exactly 3 years on the day, with "Hopeful Imitations". As is
typical in Nhato fashion, this track is everything you expect from the producers signature sound and style.
"Hopeful Imitations" is what making complex melodies, banging drum and chord progression a seemingly
perfunctory task. A wild and epic melodic journey from Japan sure to excite the ears and inspire
motivated emotions.

An epic and beautiful peak energy track Dachs' "Fiore Blue Genesis 12" keeps in time and energy with our
former track?one with nostalgic touches of orchestrated trance elements, fluid arpeggios, and killer main
line synths that rip through this timeless classic.

Our very special vocal release is done by none other than Miwa and Genesis 12. In "Only One", a cool square melody plops
along an over the top of chiptune-esque support on this poppy upbeat daytime festival worthy track.

Damit die Fusion 2019 gerade in diesem Moment stattfinden kann,  musste der Kulturkosmos und auch wir alle ganz schön kämpfen. Doch für „Die Freiheit der Kunst“ lohnt es sich einmal mehr aufzustehen und seine Stimme zu erheben … denn wir wollen uns unsere Kunst und Utopien nicht wegnehmen lassen.

Den Termin für diesen Podcast haben wir schon länger ausgemacht und er ist ganz zufällig auf den Fusion Termin gefallen. Als Frida und Judith mir dann den Mix geschickt haben, meinten sie „Da er zur Fusion raus kommt, haben wir uns ne kleine Sache überlegt und so eine Art "Fusion Special" gemacht (mit kleinen Pressekonferenz schnipseln am Anfang und Ende).“ Und weil die Fusion 2019 schon jetzt etwas ganz spezielles ist … wurde es auch hier ein Special. Dave Pineda, from Toronto, Canada, the label 
owner of Pineapple Digital, with over 30 years 
of experience in the music industry and has 
been a professional dj for over 35 years now 
and counting. Dave is one of the few DJ's in 
the world that can play almost every genre of 
dance music effortlessly from the 70's to 
EDM. A turntablist at heart. He is called the 
Master DJ, "the DJ for all DJ's". 

Dave is known for his ecclectic taste in music 
and his mixes which takes the listener to an 
emotional journey that mesmerizes and 
captivates. When he is not busy running his 
label or doing podcasts, he would 
sometimes do in gigs all over the world. 

What sets him apart from other dj's is his 
intensity and knowledge of music that keeps 
peopleglued to the dance floor and what 
makes his live sets unique is he makes 
his own bootleg versions of popular tracks.
