JUDDER announces the release of a new EP “Commute” by Bristol-based producer @tacktile

With this release, Tacktile masterfully blends elements of grime, dub, and bass techno with atonal textures and sharp metallic rhythms. The EP also features a standout collaboration with Temi Automatic, where the two artists explore their shared fascination with dark sonic aesthetics. All of this reflects Tacktile’s signature approach, rooted in raw, uncompromising sound.

Black and white tones remind me of minimalistic, powerful rhythms and vibrations that move through the body.

When I made the tracks and painted the artwork, I trusted my intuition. In my mind, I saw angular, square shapes that, in combination with strong contrasts, created an image of vibration. Something hypnotic and deeply resonant. 

I wanted to fuse deep bass atmospheres and the relentless momentum of techno. Creative, percussive and unmistakably dubby. Raw and distinctive soundscapes that wake you up and pull you in, with a vibe that’s full of energy yet never loses its punch. Every element is finely tuned to maintain that mystical, percussive groove: hypnotic, dubbed-out momentum.   

I've closed the EP with a cinematic outro that I hope conveys a deep an lingering intensity. Textures in slow motion puling you inward, shaping in your mind as you slowly dissolve into meditation.

MUADEEP has also honored me with a fresh and genre-bending jersey-perspective in his remix.
