Writing

Dieses Set bedeutet mir unfassbar viel. Es hat mich meine ganze Kraft gekostet, die letzte Kraft, die noch in mir steckt. 

Die letzten Wochen waren die schlimmsten meines Lebens. Es gibt kein einziges Wort, was dieses Gefühl in einem ausdrücken kann, wenn man einen Menschen verliert. Es gibt kein Wort dafür, weil es einfach nur eine eiskalte Leere ist. Die Sehnsucht nach diesem Menschen zerfrisst einen. Gedanken, Vorwürfe und Fragen, auf die es nicht eine einzige Antwort gibt, zerstören deinen Kopf. Deinem Herzen fehlt ein Stück und es kann nie wieder repariert werden.

Dieses Set ist für meinen kleinen geliebten Bruder, der von uns gegangen ist. 

Es soll kein Abschiedsset werden, sondern eine Aufforderung an alle Engel, mit uns zu tanzen und bei uns zu sein. All die, die einen Menschen verloren haben, können sich in den Melodien verlieren, sich fallen lassen, sich in Erinnerungen an diesen Menschen wiederfinden und mit ihm tanzen, bis in die Ewigkeit. Lasst uns Augenblicke aufleben lassen, die uns keiner nehmen kann. Lasst uns den Himmel zu uns holen, die Wolken streicheln und die Sterne küssen. 

Es gibt leider nichts auf der Welt, was ihn uns zurückbringt. Was uns bleibt ist die Erinnerung, die unvergessliche gemeinsame Zeit und die Gewissheit, dass unser Engel immer bei uns ist. Alles, was wir tun können, ist ihn festzuhalten und für ihn weiterzuleben. 

Das Set soll uns ein kleines Stück Leben zurückbringen, uns ein wenig Kraft und Hoffnung schenken. Es ist auch ein kleines Geschenk für meine Familie. Wir haben eine so große Liebe entwickelt, ein undurchdringbares Band umschließt uns nun. Wir werden uns für immer festhalten, unsere Herzen sind vereint. Ich wünsche mir, dass jeder einzelne von uns mit diesem Set unseren Engel aufleben lassen wird. Für eine kurze Zeit den Schmerz betäuben und uns freuen, ihn gehabt zu haben.

American Girl started as a joke when I was watching old Kobe Bryant highlights and Estelle's ''American Boy'' was the soundtrack. I really wanted to make a stripped back #emotional version that would play on its really great melodic structure. I reached out to my lovely friend @Wafia to sing a duet with me & mustered enough courage to jump on the first verse. I'm very proud of this song. I hope you enjoy it.
