A friend gave me a Tanzbär that drove him insane. Then it drove me insane.... it sat on the shelf for 2 years. I finally decided to figure it out and sync it with my modular system. So consider this a successful patch but not a really successful piece of music.

The track feels like it’s built out of pieces of the past—old 8-bit sounds that were more about ingenuity than perfection. Working with those constraints, using square waves and simple drum loops, trying to get something out of such raw, limited tools.As usual, restrictions can lead to more creativity. It’s like stitching together a memory.  I broke out the SID Station and the trusty S-612 for some Lo Rez mayhem.
