WARNING: this is long and contains clipping in certain parts and silence in others!!!

setup: moog sub37 straight into zoom h5, no effects, no multi-tracking, no compression, no leveling/normalizing, just raw sub37 sound straight into the zoom, file to soundcloud...also, there were no stops/pauses/restarts which is why there are moments of silence (i.e. a modulation to a destination that caused silence)

purpose: the sub37 is a deep instrument and a lot can be accomplished with all the modulation options...it can sound very modular once you start to learn it...hopefully there are small sections in this crazy long recording that show that aspect...this was only a test since I just got it, power it on, hit the record button, and go...it's a crazy long unedited file because I'm too lazy to chop it up and do any editing..that wasn't the purpose anyway :)

I'm really just scratching the surface of what this instrument is capable of.  This isn't meant to be a musical statement. There are parts of the test that are musical (just as there are in many modular patches).

parting comment (after adding comments to the upload)...I really like the juicy bass around 14m and I like the groove extracted around 40m...it's a really fun instrument

Some of these sounds contain a lot of distortion and the levels can get painfully high. This is especially true with patches that use a lot of feedback.

This is my demo of DSI Pro 2 tracked through SPL Charisma and RME UCX. I find it to be an exceptional synthesizer in every way. All time based effects are from Pro 2 itself. The delay is really good, it actually has some character to it even though it's digital. 

No additional processing have been used except for the SPL Charisma, which is a very underrated unit IMO. It works really well for fattening modern synthesizers which can often be a little bit too clean sounding for my taste. These days I track everything through it. Pro2 is not a sterile sounding synth as it's certainly capable of providing it's own dirt.

All the sounds in this track are factory presets in their original form or either slightly tweaked. In some cases I used the ext input to get more feedback.

I also have to apologize for my sloppy playing. I am not a good keyboard player but just a guy whose passion happens to be music and synthesizers.
