Up next in the art:cast special series is Dublin-based artist Dylan Forbes, whose name might have come to your ears due to his regular performances for his monthly radio show at Balamii, his Rinse FM set or simply because of music he's been releasing since 2018. Speaking of the latter, Dylan has put out EP's on renowned labels like Coymix Ltd, run by Timo Deeprhythms and Steffan Todorović, and Echocentric. Additionally Forbes put out two EPs, Smicer and Manual Exploration, by himself. His contribution for the art:cast special series is musically diverse: dreamy House chords meet more technoid or techy influenced takes, peak-time moments alternate with warm(up) vibes and fuse to a fluent and coherent mix that delivers those goodies for any mood and time of the day, either shortly before going out or when coming back home or just for your dose of electronic music.

20/20 Vision are proud to present 'Fragments Of Reality’ - a brand new label homing in on tripped out shades of house and techno curated by Luther Vine (Phonica Records).

The opening track comes from London underground circuits’ stalwart and the fabric resident Voigtmann. The owner of Subsequent, the label that in itself over the last couple of years has broken a lot of new ground, delivers a big room bomb. ‘Automatic Chemistry’ will soak you in pulsating baselines and acid tinged minimalist breaks. ‘Receptivity’ jolts you in an altogether different direction.

The track that comes to you courtesy of Montreal-based multi-instrumentalist Priori is a tripped out soundscape of kaleidoscopic surprises. Yet the lush cascading sounds and pentatonic hints demand a delirious limb movement from even the most reserved of listeners. The magic that Priori brings on board has been shaped by his prior exploits eternalised on highly acclaimed releases for Dust World and NAFF.

Flip the wax and get a load of ‘Expulsion’, a throbbing Dub Techno masterpiece crafted by Rotterdam based duo D&S. With a nod to the genre’s pioneers and echoes of analogue Detroit constantly present the Dutchmen’s creation, ‘Expulsion’ boasts a silly concentration of energy begging for a prime-time attention. The talent also comes with a pedigree. D&S had their stellar work noticed and pressed by Girada Unlimited and Space Shepherd labels to name but a few.

Your new essential record bag filler closes with Rupert Marnie’s blistering Acid Tech workout entitled ‘Drifter’. The fresh jacking grooves that the Hamburg based musician packs in this particular production are both airy and tight. Surely it’s a track worthy of rave aboard an intergalactic Starship on the merit of it’s futuristic brilliance alone.

This weeks mix is from Rhodri Price, co-founder of notorious welsh label HAWS. For this mix Rhodri pulled out all the stops, sending us back in time with a huge selection of old skool breaks bangers! I can imagine it now, huge warehouse vibes and plenty of good times. Ain’t no skool like the old skool. Tracks featured on this mix are from legends such as Bass Construction, Top Buzz, Cosmo & Dibs, Gordon Edge, Jonny L and DJ Seduction. Catch Rhodri playing a HAWS event in Distrikt bar leeds featuring a very tasty line up of maruwa + Space Cadets (Adam pits & lisene. he’s also back in the studio after a long layoff from production so keep your ear to the ground for that as well. FARDOE is an amazingly talented DJ who we had the pleasure to (not so accidentally) host for the first time back in 2020, in one of our most especial (and successful) raves in the outskirts of Amsterdam. She can be found in Barcelona's best record shops playing from time to time, always under her own name.

As good & old friends of her, we couldn't wait to have Fardoe as our main host today and we're delighted to be able to finally add her to the Aquatic Gardens contributors. A sweet & beautiful music selection for you all to enjoy.
