The Spy is on a mission for the 8th Kri release and it ends with a bang. Similar to Wessel's releases on Mechatronica and Osare! Editions, his signature sound keeps evolving by melting electro, EBM and wave into a hypnotising dystopian soundtrack.

His Kri debut is named Halt and Hack and it ranges from melancholic EBM-ish slow burners to mutated wave-meets-electro anthems, rounded with a nostalgic remix by the mighty Zement operator Kluentah.

Available as limited lathe-cut vinyl and digitally on 17th of May 2024.

"Super excited to strike back by announcing our 2nd installment to the label’s physical catalogue called “Code of Conduct”. An eclectic 12-inch compilation delivering fascinating sound sonics from bright artists across the world within the electro and techno sound spectrum.

On A side, Alonzo with “Jealous Eyes” proves once more why he is a key persona within electro scene with an eyes-down and fully optimized dancefloor tool. Betek builds on that through “The After March”, a tension-building track highlighting his characteristic atmospheres and arpeggio compositions.

On B side, Nina Indi with “East Wind” delivers on what she is known for, an impactful breakbeat-infused banger that for sure will create many memorable moments across dancefloors. Fobos Hailey follows with “Close Your Eyes” fusing aggressive syncopations and industrial soundscapes."

"Xirxe is a hymn to weirdness, to the monstrous feminine. An overturning of the vision of the woman-victim that comes to us from Greek mythology, in which courage to distance oneself from toxicity is interpreted as escape, weakness. In which defiance of patriarchal Olympian rules is seen as an act of vicious disobedience and not as vindication of one’s own choices. Xirxe takes a voice, recounts her choices, her courage and her vulnerability. Through self-awareness, she moves her choices and shapes her surroundings, dancing around obstacles, defining limits to be defended at all costs if violated Every body, in order to be crossed, needs consent."
