Live at Beacon Denver with Sky Terrace - March 1, 2024

I had so much fun playing an extended set at the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art for their Intermixed series! I love longer sets, since they provide the opportunity to tell a long-form story. This mix starts melodic and organic, and ends groovy and funky.

It was an honor to set the vibes for Melodic Techno legend Kevin de Vries, known for his releases on Afterlife. Playing at an iconic Denver venue, The Church, was a huge milestone for me - as I've been there many times as an attendee.

For this set, I explored some new territory with my sound - using a foundation of Melodic Techno as the base, with influences from Organic House, Deep House, and Progressive House. I'm really enjoying blending these genres to create something greater than the sum of its parts.

Opening Set for Kevin de Vries - Live at The Church - October 11, 2024

What an incredibly special evening this was. It was such an honor to play direct support for one of my biggest musical inspirations, Lee Burridge. To celebrate, I put extra care and attention into this set by playing exclusively unreleased IDs at the time of recording. A big thank you to the artists from all over the world who sent me their fresh tunes for this unforgettable night.

This two-hour set starts with Downtempo, and then builds the energy with some exceptional unreleased Organic, Deep, and Progressive House tracks. I had lots of fun gradually building the energy throughout the evening, and had a blast dancing with everyone who made it out!

With dance music roots that stem from a love for 2000s trance and techno, Texas-born Andrew Pinkowitz turns lifelong curiosity into creative opportunity by diving beyond the static noise of daily life into the deeper textures of organic house. Pinkowitz’s productions blend the ethereal and the melodic, creating dynamic dancefloor explorations of darkness and light. Digital life in the pandemic age brought about his first release, a collaboration with Mexico’s Ricardo Angeles released on Sound Avenue in 2022. That track, “Hidden Pathway,” was followed by entries on Nordic Voyage, Keyfound, 3rd Avenue, Amulanga, and The Purr. His work has received support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Eli Nissan, Fernando Ferreyra, Death on the Balcony, and artists around the globe.

Closer to home, Pinkowitz is a collaborative leader in the lush landscapes of Colorado’s rising melodic house scene as a member of the Sky Terrace Collective. On the decks of Denver’s Club Vinyl, Mockingbird, and The Church, he fashions discourse from downbeats, combining danceable favorites with uncommon treasures and samplings of works-in-development. Pinkowitz’s affinity with audiences forms compass points in sonic journeys that have led to supporting Lee Burridge and Durante - which guide his path toward innovation and evolution in the years to come.
