Party Time

Smack bang in the middle of a pandemic after almost a year of no gigs, Lachy Doley decided to get all his favourite people together and record and film something really special.
On his 43rd birthday they played 2 big sets in front of an audience of 20 at Sydney’s iconic Studios 301. A four piece horn section, three piece vocal section, his brother Clayton guesting on piano, two feature lead tracks one by Mahalia Barnes and one by Karen Lee Andrews. All together a killer 14 piece band and a new highlight of Lachy’s career.

In a dream-like world this track finds it's place, in a way it made me think of the surrealist works from the twentieth century by artists like Dali, Magritte, de Chirico, and Dutch painter Carel Willink, for whose nephew I have worked as architect. I hope I can take you along this little dream journey...

Opening the new year in the proper funky way here at Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, we proudly present a new collaboration release between&nbsp;Pecoe and BoydexIt's not the first time the duo finds common ground producing tunes in collaboration, and their latest work together, "Have Faith EP" adds 4 new tracks to the collection now. The funk flows through tunes like "Bring The Heat" or "Go" having breezy funky guitar licks and vocal-samples in proper use. While the rest of the EP leans towards the disco edge of things with songs like "Disco Fever" or the title tune "Have Faith"; both of them featuring Sully Sax on live saxophone instrumentation.
Boydex,&nbsp;the man from Melbourne had dropped his first ever releases on ?????? and also been working with a nice pack of other labels recently.Pecoe, hailing from Perth has kickstarted his career at Doctor Hooka's Relative Dimensions label a decade ago, yet he's much more on fire than ever before!Their new common work, "Have Faith EP" perfectly reflects their faith shared together in tight beats and a solid bass-lines.

Slynk & Woofax have teamed up for an epic collaboration merging their funky and glitchy styles, out February 9th on Gravitas Recordings. Both artists are deeply connected in the Shambhala and funky glitch-hop scene, and this collaboration finally merges their styles into something fresh.  After Woofax’s recent collaborations on Gravitas we’ve been eager to hear more, and bringing along the legendary Slynk to the Gravitas family is something we are very excited for.  Slynk and Woofax both are amazing Ableton music production teachers on their Youtube and Patreons, another core value that stays true to the roots of Gravitas Recordings.  This track brings us back to the golden age of funky glitch-hop, and these artists are some of the best in the scene for this classic sound!

Plugin The Speakers opens with a funky bass guitar groove with an irresistible groove and swagger.  It quickly builds into a heavy glitch-hop drop following a similar groove and having a call and response with funky distorted guitar riffs.  The song has an old school sound and its sampling and breakdowns creates an unreal jump back and forth with glitch-hop sounds and live guitar and funk elements.

Hi, my name is Stephan Lipinski, or other wise known as "Pinner". I am a jazz/rock/fusion guitarist from New Jersey. I began playing back in the sixth grade and was fortunate to study with Jazz Great Vic Juris while in high school (http://vicjurisjazz.com/). My biggest and most direct influences include Robben Ford (www.robbenford.com/) Vic Juris (http://vicjurisjazz.com) Scott Lerner (http://www.scottlernermusic.com/) and Chuck D'Aloia (http://chuckdaloiamusic.com/) I have played in everyting from jazz to rock bands, and latest project was an acoustic duo called Kosmik Kow. Even though I am not in formal group now, I can been found at local jam sessions and sitting in with some friend's bands. My current gear includes a Collings i35lc, Collings City Limits, SVL 61 Reserve, Suhr S1 and a Mark Jenny Reliced Telecaster into a Fuchs Overdrive Supreme Bassman Mod (with some additional mods by Scott Lerner) into a Glaswerks 2x12 with Celestion G12-65's.I am a big fan of Dumble style amplifiers lol. I use Curt Mangan strings on all my guitars.
