Human began as a tadpole that once swam through water, through lakes, the silt and mire, and in time was drawn out by the magnetic light beyond the shore. The process upward was inevitable and its being began to itch for the skies. The human race made the heavens its final frontier, and with a burning desire for exploration sprung from the earthly cradle to become a farer of the void, the still expanse.'

On To Land

Horizon is a Citizen Cope / David Gilmor-esque inspired ode to tapping into one’s inherent free spirit, which commonly unearths in the lovers’ bond. The song paints an image of a delicate balance between freedom and conflict, whereby a man that once swam with his beloved in the magic of a summer night’s sea attempts to reconnect with the ubiquitous “baby how’s your day?”

Horizon

Turning to Gold is sonically reminiscent of Coldplay’s ‘Ghost Stories’... It’s a hymn of lovers as they traverse life’s highs and lows. The song calls for the other to let their alchemy shine through. Without that, one may become lost in a mental abyss where intentions are misinterpreted and thoughts are convoluted. The song reaches into further spheres while weighing on the fact that bliss cannot be found when one is merely dreaming. One must muster through the rain to inevitably find peace, as ‘hoping things work out’ is never enough.

Turning to Gold

This song paints the analogy of a Hot Air Balloon as it relates to pregnancy, resembling the growth of a woman’s tummy to an inflating Hot Air Balloon. As pregnancy moves along and the process unfolds, where a spirit permeates and rises into the boundless world, a Hot Air Balloon, in similar form, grows and rises into the ether (where our thoughts drift and amalgamate) in the same way.
