Recorded after I had discovered Run-DMC in college with Alec, this is a freestyle song, all improvised, inspired by the blues and hip hop.

Something a Little More Wicked

This is the last track on what I always thought of as the most pop (but still STUTS!) album that the group ever recorded (watch as I slip into talking about myself in the third person soon, lol....). As he says, Eric improvised the song when he and Peter travelled across the U.S. before beginning new semesters in colleges on the east coast. This is a "remix" of that buffalo song, dedicated to bison and Yellowstone National Park.

"Balad for Alec and Cameron" is an improvised talking blues from the STUTS album, "Painting Stars," recorded in fall of 2003, or Piotr's senior year of High School.

This little ditty was recorded in the backwoods of Ashland, Oregon, during a rainy spring day in 2004, when Peter was a senior in high school, Eric was in his freshman year of college, and Reilly was a high school junior. It is devoted to the girls and the women of the fields. It could not have been recorded except where it was. Reilly and Peter had read John Steinbeck's East of Eden in school....

This track from the fall 2003 STUTS album, "Live on the Discovery Channel," is not one of the songs recorded in a cave in the Lava Beds of California. It includes Cameron's excellent vocals, however, with Eric's exquisite guitar-playing. Peter references a few historical events, as well as sings, with Reilly, about the unabridged book by Victor Hugo, Les Miserables....
