To mark the release of their latest EP "Endless Sunday'' on the Berlin-based record label Thisbe Recordings, Parisian duo Nomenklatür embarks us on a one hour journey across some of their latest productions as well as their hot picks of the moment, crossing genres that define their sound : Synthpop, New Wave and EBM. This is followed by two more DJ sets by Krasnodar-based Rambal Cochet, aka Volta Cab, who produced remixes of each of the two singles of Nomenklatür´s EP, as well as a back-to-back set by Thisbe Recordings´Pyrame and Andrew Claristidge.

Denise Schneider deliberately decided against an artist name, because she is what she is - authentic, pure, real!

Denise Schneider discovered her love for electronic music through her work in the nightlife. By mentoring the artists, her curiosity about the big picture was aroused. When the desire to be a DJ grew stronger, her husband, who has made a name for himself as a club owner and promoter, finally encouraged her. Almost self-taught, the Ulmer native taught herself how to DJ more than 10 years ago. Since then she has been playing at popular clubs and countless major festivals around the world.

When she enters the DJ booth, the auditorium experiences a DJane, in which every gesture and facial expression tells of her enthusiasm for melodic techno/techno. Through this body language alone, Denise evokes an emotional sound experience on the dance floor. Every single track of their sets releases endorphins in the audience, often accompanied by frenetic applause. It's understandable that Denise Schneider is a welcome guest in popular clubs as well as at festivals.

Since 2017, the mother of two has also been spending every free minute in the studio to realize her musical visions. With success! The remake of Nils Van Gogh's 2019 classic Pulverturm landed in the top ten of the Beatport charts internationally and number 1 nationally in the peaktime techno category. And with the new edition of the Members of Mayday anthem Sonic Empire in 2020, Denise Schneider has once again distinguished herself as a producer.

Aubrey has always brought a detailed sense of sound design to his heavy techno. The Berlin-based artist does that again here on a first EP on his own Solid Groveos since 2016. Two tracks delve into his archives to come up with some rare and obscure jams from the 90s. One is 'Lose Yourself', which we have the honour of premiering,- a bright and cosmic take on techno that prime-era Derrick May would be proud of then the other, 'Breaking Out', offers golden US-style house with nice frayed synths and smoky depths. Two new cuts are 'Chase Mind' - a cavernous and dubby, with whimsical pads and unrelenting bass locking you in a trance, then 'Mr Muscle', a twisted acid techno closer that completes a varied and vital EP.

Where words fail, music speaks. Our guest this week undoubtedly knows that music is an universal language; unique codes and patterns, which are in fact universally understood. Raafat is from Germany but originally from Syria. Back in 2014, when he came to Germany and started getting in touch with e-music, falling in love with Downtempo, Techno and Oriental beats, Raafat began mixing and editing music from several DJs and producers and currently he's been producing music with his own 'fingerprint'.

As a selector, the Syrian DJ collects music that makes us feel amazing 'in volume, combined with the intermingling of many folkways, mixtapes that bring cultures together. Even with only 52 minutes, the selection evokes such a range of emotions with such simplicity. Somehow better when listened to as an album, from start to finish, front to back. In the end, the message is simple, Rafaat is always playing music carrying a lot of love, peace and positive thoughts.
