Denn es ist wirklich durch und durch gelungen, absolut stimmig und mit einer wunderbaren Atmosphäre versehen, die zur Afterhour passt. Ich nehme an, es spiegelt seinen aktuellen Mood gut wieder.

Our latest podcast today comes from an artist I already know and appreciate for an eternity. Whether as a DJ, promoter of young DJs in Frankfurt or as a family man, Oli always has an incredible sense for the little moments of life. This is also reflected in his mixtapes, which invite you with a lot of love for detail and a lot of groove to dance down. This is also the case with his latest podcast, appropriately named "Nighttrip", which this time shows him in his versatility.... 

Interview:

- What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

My musical influences are very broad. After rock was my great passion in my youth, I became more and more enthusiastic about electronic music. Starting with trance, I landed quite quickly with techno and finally with deep house. While in these phases I was almost exclusively enthusiastic about the respective genre, I am now open to all varieties of electronic music.
And not only electronic music, I'm also an event DJ, so I can get excited about any kind of music.

- What makes a good afterhour in your opinion?

In the past, everything was possible musically at our afterhours - hard beats like you just heard in the club or playful, chill and melodic sounds to come down. What was more important was to stand at the plates again yourself after having been a spectator and listener for a few hours - and of course to let the evening come to an end with your best in a small setting.

Today most "afterhours", if I can still call them that, take place in the car after my gigs. Since I accompany many events with a wide variety of music, I always need a contrasting program on the drive home - preferably of an electronic nature. The tracks and styles as I put them in the mix would bring me home happy at my personal afterhour.

- What thoughts might you share with us about your mix?

My mix takes you on a musical journey from the club to the afterhour home. It starts out full of energy, but then lets us get calmer and more playful. Musical boundaries are stretched, get ready for it....

For the 133nd edition of Desert Hut Podcast Series, we’re pleased to welcome Tebra.

Tebra a.k.a. Milojko Jaric was born on the 7th of June, 1985. The idea for the Tebra project came after years of producing different electronic music genres.

Soon after starts the big and active work on music making and production inspired by Balkan ethnic music and world music in general. Many tracks are compiled, production gets better and better and after a couple of years of hard work he finally finds the sound that will become his main occupation in the upcoming period. 
In the autumn of 2017 Ritual records released two Tebra tracks as part of his first E.P. named “Suton”. That release gathered the attention of wide audience and soon after another track (Istok) got released under 8Cell Records (sub label of Tesseract Studio)
After the initial releases, Tebra`s music got increasingly exposed, many offers from the various record labels and invitations for Live Set and DJ performances started to follow.

The radio show’s called Atmospherica Exotica aimed to present another side of techno through my own and guest mixes, focusing on more atmospheric and sophisticated trends. My first Ozorian experience had a great influence on me, both musically and atmopsherically, this is why I started diving deeper into the soundscapes I heard there and which inspired this show.

If you’ve been to O.Z.O.R.A. festival, you’ve probably heard Katamii playing: her sets are elemental parts of the Pumpui stage, meanwhile she’s one of the musical leaders and managers of the stage too.
Everything started with O.Z.O.R.A., where she revealed her soul-music in front of a major audience for the first time in 2011.

Since then she’s been the warm up for – among others – Eitan Reiter, Perfect Stranger, Minilogue, Beckers, Dominic Thomas, Gabriel Le Mar, D-nox&Beckers, James Monro, and she played before Cid Inc, who made a huge impact on her musical career.

She’s been invited to play at Samsara- and Bakony Festivals in Hungary, she played at Seli Mountain Gathering in Greece, Psy-Boutique Festival in Turkey and at Nosily Festival in UK.

She has a really impulsive style and you can always find that sneaky deep pulse in her music that sees through her sets – she’s a real wolf in sheep’s clothing.
