When thinking back about the process of making this song, it was a real turning point in the creation of our album. After our first album came out, we were forced to completely rethink how we would make our second record, as the band had gone from a little project made in our bedrooms, to something that had to follow up that initial success. We struggled through the first half of making our record, not really knowing what we wanted to say or where we wanted to take the music. It often felt forced or rushed. We were in the studio late one night, and after smoking a joint, we went back to track this song live off the floor, with the percussion and backing tracks playing behind us. The drums, guitar, bass, and Rhodes were all played live as one take in a room together. The half time breakdown at the end of the song was improvised, and at the end of that take we were all high fiving in the room together. It felt natural, organic, and straight from the heart. We hope you have as much fun listening to it as we did making it.

Happy New Years!  2015 was an amazing year for me, and I've had an amazing time spending time working on and sharing both A World Away and Morning World with you.  

This release will be the first of a few in a series.  I feel like this is the time, and this is my chance, to put something positive into the world.  It feels like we're all craving some positivity in our lives these days.  Hopefully this single, and the songs to come, will bring you some light, some fun, and some dancing.
