Saint Patrick Cathedral Choir Hymns and Athems

On October 10 of 2010 Professor Thomas Murray, University Organist at Yale performed an organ recital of works by Hindemith, Schumann, Weitz, Goldmark and Locklair on the world-famous Newberry Memorial Pipe Organ. It was built-in 1901 by Hutchings, improved mechanically and almost doubled in size in 1915 by Steere, and entirely rebuilt and greatly enlarged in 1928 by the Skinner Organ Company.

Professor Murray gave JAV Recordings permission to record his organ recital and we both decided to release the Schumann Sketches as a free download. There is no editing of this live performance. The balance of the recital can not be released as the other compositions are copyright protected.

After recording a CD in Notre Dame de Paris in May of 2010 Johann Vexo sat down for an interview with Joe Vitacco. We talked about his life as a musician and what it is like to work at Notre Dame. This also includes 2 extras works not on the CD: Bach's Wachet auf and Franck's Piece Heroique. The extra works were recorded with the same equipment as the CD.

Steven Ball plays some of the most beloved Christmas Music on the landmark 4 manual, 42 rank Moller Organ, Opus 5566 at the Atlanta Fox - affectionately known as Might Mo. The main feature of the CD are the eight dances from the Nutcracker that really show the beauty of what Moller could do with their theater organs. The CD comes with a color booklet with many photos of the auditorium and organ chambers.
