q. is there a story behind the mix? how did it come together? 
a. No particular story, I just wanted to my living room mix to sound like a movie 

q. in your opinion, what would be the ideal circumstances to enjoy your mix? 
a. I think this mix is perfect to listen to surrounded by friends in a inebriated state. It’s made for smiling 

q. describe a favorite object in your living room... 
a. The couch! But these next few weeks me and my roomies will decorate it with a lot of art on the walls ❤

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
 a. I’m developing my live performances and going harder on improving my dj expertise. also want to make more visual art and audio mastering jobs.

Living Room n°35 ~ usof

As part if this year's edition of Intonal Festival, we have joined forces with Malmö based Retreat Radio in presenting sets from a myriad of artists from near and far.

Felisha Ledesma, the sound artist and musician explores an emergent lowercase sound,  shimmering with elusive timbres that occupy a unique space – neither electronic nor acoustic, but more a sort of observational sound that radiates tenderness and warmth. 
Processed field recordings sit alongside more traditional instruments utilized in creative ways, as Ledesma expertly moulds microscopic sounds into impenetrable yet intimate sonic worlds. It’s detailed, absorbing music – longform yet somehow also instantly immersive and inviting.

This week's TANK Mix of downtempo dub and spirited nueva canción comes from Tara Clerkin Trio. Every genre thrown at the Bristolian noisemakers – avant-jazz, electronica, ambient – fails to fully capture their urbane, spatial timbre, a sensibility forged over the past decade of playing together in the Bristol noise scene. Their most recent release, the expansive single Exquisite Corpse 1, was released last year.

Introduce yourself? Preferred pronouns? Where do you currently reside? 1 fun fact about yourself? 

My name is Rory / I live in Philadelphia / I once catfished listeners of NTS radio to try and sway them into listening to Terry Radio.

How is everything going with you right now?  

Life is kinda boring right now.  I really just watch like hella trash tv.  I love Vanderpump Rules and watching Criss Angel do anything.  Iggy also got me a good youtube link to Wife Swap full episodes on youtube.  So I guess you could say I’m hanging in there. 

Any fun predictions for 2021?  

I’m gonna predict by the end of 2021, Ulla will have a full garden in her bedroom. That’s the only thing I can actually predict at the moment. 


How did you get your DJ name? 

I’ve actually forgotten.  Probably off of a sign or something.  Pontiac Streator is the name of two towns next to each other in Illinois. If you drive to chicago from kansas city you’ll see the now infamous pontiac streator exit road sign. 

Who currently inspires your music-wise?  

The like hyper pop / rap scene on soundcloud 

What is the perfect temperature? 

Ummmmm maybe like 75` It’ hard to say cause I really love all the seasons.  I’m def not an arctic binch though but I appreciate a cold day.   

4 djs you would want to see on a lineup for the first party post covid asap?  

I would like to go to just a proper dubstep night when covid is over.  I don’t care who the djs are if they play like 2000’s dubstep.


What other activities have you dipped into with a break from djing? 

I have started gambling and going to casinos.    

What was your first gig? How did it go? 

I was a drummer in a grindcore band when I was 16 called healmejohnredcorn.  Brian leeds played guitar.  I think I dropped my drumsticks while doing a blastbeat. Lol.  

Describe your favorite thing to drink and how it makes you feel?  

Replenish zero the orange flavor from 7/11.  I just need my vitamins.  

Why do you think it's important to share music?

I’m a creep and I’ll scan down all of your likes on soundcloud and youtube playlists.  So send me the bangers to save me some work ya’ll. Most of the treks in this mix were sourced in that way. lol 

What would you like to see in the future for the dance community?  

I would just like to see it at this point.  I’ve gained weight not going out dancing on the weekends.
