Kicking off a special Animix sub series of live recordings from Animalia x @vortexvortexvortex events. 

No better way than to start things off with one of the most long awaited, exciting sets we've been lucky to witness recently. Ricci (@riccimm ) is a dear friend, notorious for his incredibly low key but mind-blowing dj abilities. We were so so happy to host his comeback set after 2+ years in the club. It was total euphoria from beginning to end. Classy, refined non-stop bangers.  We hope you. enjoy just as much as we did!

Eagerly awaited yet patiently bubbling under the surface, UwU dust bath emerges with its primal offering; a deeply generous and authentic sonic array from low-key prolifics Purelink. Pure, unadulterated aural alchemy. Everything has a perfect place. An evolving trademark of Purelink’s delicate, yet deliberate, chillout ecstasy.  

UwU 001 is rooted in the group’s most sincere and early jams; exuding an innocent magic almost impossible to recreate, tranquil effervescence of the highest nature. An immersive sense of bliss exudes from even the initial vibrations of the A side. Each track is thoughtfully paired with a complimenting remix on the B side, preserving and echoing the ethereal essence while adding a personally inspired touch, nurturing fresh existence and perspective.

  Three otherworldly originals harmoniously colluding with an intercontinental all-star cast of remixers. xphresh (special guest DJ & Ben Bondy), Low Flung and Nice Girl – each respectfully contributing to the synonymous mutual (& virtual) affiliation, kindredship and vision entrenched in the UwU ethos.  

The synergy throughout this entire release reveals an unspoken affinity and divine love language between the label and artists that can translate to how we feel and absorb music, its sound and a subconscious sense of intimacy and connection.

V special guest for number ninety, Austin raised, now Brooklyn based Deep Creep ( @deepcreep88 ) presents a crazy mix in her signature style. Diverse, exciting and always fresh... Somehow always finding a way to blend smooth tech house and groove with surprising pops of dubstep, bass and beyond.

Resident at @thelotradio , regular at NYC favourite Public Records, and creative brain behind one of my favourite mix series @pipipigroup (www.pipipi.life), it's safe to say sasha is an integral member of the NYC scene. 

Admiring each other's series from opposite ends of of the world, we thought it'd be cute to publish our mixes for each other's series at the same time.

Cousin - Second Message (Clips)

Our ninth release is a special one that’s close to our hearts — announcing the ‘So AM’ EP by Gallery B. Currently living and working on Larrakia land (Darwin), Emma Stevenson (aka Gallery B / @gallerybmaking) is a producer and DJ with a deep appreciation of music. As one of the founding members of TSBU, Emma has played a significant part in the label’s inception, and fortuitously returns to the label full-circle to release the ‘So AM’ EP.

Taking cues from 90s production and the tranquil surrounds of Emma’s home in the Northern Territory, these tracks represent a new direction for Gallery B; a step away from previous ambient excursions into tropical-tinged downtempo. So AM may be a new direction, yet one which feels at home alongside previous Gallery B works — maintaining the delicate layers and dreamlike textures synonymous with her sound.
