[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] unleashes the final arc of its 79th release: Francesco Tamburrano – The Gambler. Postscript II

Venice, a city of reflections, where water and time weave fragile lines of fate. It is here that Francesco Tamburrano (@ft-dubtechno) conceived his new album The Gambler – a sonic journey inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel The Gambler. If the original album was a statement on passion and obsession, the remixes – crafted exclusively by Russian dub techno masters – open the story into new dimensions. We envisioned two postscripts, and now it is time for the second one.

The Gambler. Postscript II is eight new interpretations, eight rolls of the dice with sound itself at stake. The album opens with Sleney (@sleney1996) and his take on “Mlle Blanche”, turning it into a meditative flow of depth and light. Radio Badjay (@radiobadjay) reshapes “Madame de Cominges”, saturating it with hidden drama where the vibration of the bass becomes the pulse of the narrative. Triebfeder (@triebfedersp) brings strict rhythmic geometry to “General”, transforming it into a march of fate reimagined in dub techno pulse. Castle From Indistinct Dreams (@shadow-recruit) reinvents “Mr Astley”, weaving it with hazy visions and blurred contours of memory, turning it into a dreamlike mirage.

In the second half of the album, the tension rises. Dive Craft (@dennykay) adds gravity and weight to his version of “Potapych”, unveiling its sonic density and depth. ODP (@enercube & @x_fr) explores the experimental frontier in “Alexei Ivanovich”, carrying the listener into an acid-futurist perspective where past and future twist into a single spiral of sound. Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer (@enercube & @x_fr) takes us into emotional nostalgia through “Marquis de Grieux”, where memory and passion breathe with the deepest sub-bass and resonate with longing. The final act belongs to Nebula Alchemists (@enercube & @x_fr) with their “Potapych (Outro Dub)” – a step beyond structure, dissolving the album into an endless sonic nebula, leaving the sensation of the last step into eternity.

Guest Mix 117 is a live recording of the 2nd Blank Wave anniversary event with dear friends and Berlin-based DJ and producer duo Local Suicide who have been active in the electronic music scene since first teaming up in 2008. The Greek-German couple initially gained recognition through their events across Berlin before capturing global attention with their eclectic DJ sets combining new wave, Italo, indie dance, post-disco, EBM, and dark techno.

Recognized as one of the key figures in the dark disco scene, Local Suicide’s impressive discography spans over 200 tracks. Rivers of time flow through concrete and glass, reflecting a sky that still remembers the hum of old synths and the first breath of analog noise. In Zurich, sound and architecture live in the same rhythm. Rick Fox (@dj_rick_fox) returns to [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] with his second release — calm, precise, and deliberate. Part of the Story is a new collection from the Swiss maestro, composed in those rare moments when the city falls silent and only the movement of its spirit can be heard — where every loop of echo seems to know its own name.

Let’s start with the originals.
::: Part of the Story sounds like an inner monologue whispered through delay. A straight line, steady pulse, clean structure — everything is in its place. A story no one remembers, yet everyone feels.
::: Izpi brings light — a narrow beam in an evening window. There’s motion upward, but without haste, toward the space where sound stops being material.
::: Funny Cats — a short smile within space, a warm note that breaks symmetry. It brings unexpected softness — a moment of irony in a world of exact rhythms and dense textures.
::: Black Snow feels like a night recorded in motion — cold that keeps its warmth inside. A metaphor of darkness where snowflakes fall upward and the night glows from within.
::: Homecoming — a return to the point where breathing begins again. Not about a house, but about the silence that accepts you back. It closes the first part of the album — a memory that doesn’t fade, only grows quieter.

The remixes continue the conversation — in other voices.
::: A special remix by two Scottish fold-eared cats, Metatron and Kotya CatRMX from Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer (@enercube & @x_fr), turns Funny Cats into a pulsating organism where sound gains breath and form.
::: Nicolas Barnes (@nicolas_barnes) opens Izpi from the other side — his version is transparent and meditative, like architecture built from light.
::: Armin Bender (@arminbender) makes Homecoming intimate and precise — a slow movement through memory where every echo is familiar.
::: Noosa Sound System (@user-975386903-297870339) takes Homecoming far away — their Far From Home Dub dissolves on the horizon, in gentle defocus.
::: Giacomo Pellegrino (@giacomopellegrino) closes the cycle — his remix of Izpi rises like dawn after a long night.

Part of the Story LP is the mature work of an artist fully confident in his sound. No rush, no excess — only balance, space, and the memory of rhythms from which it all began. If Rick Fox’s first release on [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] was an introduction, this album is already a dialogue — calm, precise, and honest. Rick Fox speaks through detail. There is no drama in his sound — only equilibrium. Each loop and texture is built with attention to form, breath, and space. Part of the Story is music without tension.
