Rising Melbourne/Naarm-based producer Sam Alfred steps up for our eighteenth Lost Sunday Session.

With his well-received 6-track debut EP ‘Strictly Business’ (released via Love Above Records) and his latest ‘Dancing On The M1’ EP (out via Happy Wax), Alfred has since found himself on big-ticket lineups such as Pitch Music & Arts and Strawberry Fields. With his music seemingly on everyone’s ‘must play’ list, Sam is carving a name for himself within the industry and shows no signs of slowing down. A few words on the mix from Sam:

“This mix features a stack of Aussie artists, such as Skin On Skin, X CLUB., Roza Terenzi and JamesJamesJames. I’ve also included an unreleased one from Cassettes for Kids, ‘Tranquil’, which I first heard during lockdown while watching a CFK virtual stream. It blew me away, and has definitely become a main-stay in my sets. Plus the final track - ‘Fantasy’, by CRUSH3d - is my favourite song at the moment. I’m a huge fan of CRUSH3d, so being able to play some of his forthcoming material is an honour. 

UK DJ/Producer Prozak is an artist I recently discovered who makes fast paced and soulful garage and breaks, which is what I’m all about.  Prozak has been releasing a bunch of tracks via Shall Not Fade. They originally flew under my radar, but since discovering his music I just can’t get enough.

If there’s ever a perfect bomb to drop at the club, it’s Skin on Skin & X CLUB.’s  ‘Don’t Fuck Around’ from their recent ‘Everything Comes True’ EP. From the bassline to the mean vocals, this track is such a heater every time it gets played.” - @samalfred567
