02 Sleep Dealer - @imitation_therapy

FF002: Until Catharsis, marks the second release on Meanjin (Brisbane) based 'Foreign Frequencies'.

Featuring seven tracks from a mixture of Meanjin locals, artists from across Australia, Mexico, Canada, and France. This one explores a variety of leftfield sounds dancing between moments of introspection and thoughtful reflection.

All profits from this release will be donated to The Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

The second guest in our mix series is Bangkok-based music artist and digital designer @rab_neba, co-founder of several music bands such as Goodbye Porsche (shoegaze, ambient trap est.2014), Tomb de Narcisse (post punk).

Restrictions: no VST's, only samples, sample memory limited to 1.4mb in total.
Used: 
- https://martblek.gumroad.com/ <- Martblek's excellent generation tools for Renoise, particularly Almost Drums NG, Harmonio. 
- One bar of sh-101 style bass from the excellent Tal-101 (bounced and chopped and used as sample for remaining bars)
- Found sounds captured on Zoom H4N
- Coupla single cycle waveforms, a sine wave or two, lots of Renoise native effects and general fuckery 
- Caffeine. Lots of caffeine.

'Movement Gallery’ by Colorado-based artist Werner Levant showcases a meticulous balance between traditional string instrumentation and more modern elements.
