The 28th PIVCAST on our series is delivered by a woman who is known for her vinyl only sets. Her sound is a sophisticated hybrid of dub-tech and deep house with an emotional groovy undertone, which she can undisputedly call her own.

Next up for our Rendition podcast we have a very talented artist from South America.

Lucio Agustín is a DJ and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was introduced into electronic music thanks to the influence of artists like Archie Hamilton, Mihai Popoviciu, Apollonia, Mandar, Phil Weeks, Djebali, Traumer, among others.
In 2012, Lucio decided it was necessary to have a professional formation as a musician so he started to study in ARJAUS, a very well-knownschool of electronic music from Buenos Aires.
Three years later, he was ready to make a raid into productions. His releases were very successful and launched by different labels such as Little Helpers, Bondage Music, Cyclic Records, among many others. All this experience gave him the inspiration to develop his own DJ style which combines House, Techno and Minimal sounds.
Since finding his own genre, Lucio has played in some of the most important local clubs such as Pacha Buenos Aires, Rio Electronic Music, Bahrein Buenos Aires, Niceto Club,INPUT BA and Esvedra among others.
In 2016 Lucio has founded SUSTAIN, his own event producer & record label, where in each performance he can express his mixing skills.
After more than 70 releases on Beatport is how to get positioned as one of the top 10 Minimal Artists of 2017 reaching the number 6 in Beatport.
His first participation in vinyl was for Little Helpers achieving the top 1 sales in deejay.de
Actually, Lucio is working in new projects with Ableton Live for future live performances.

Dan Ghenacia has been at the at the center of the Parisian house scene for over a decade. This master of the Paris club scene started developing his uncanny after-hours sound during a creative hiatus in California. On his return to the French capital his now late imprint label Freak N’Chic was born, breaking artists such as Dyed Soundorom, Djebali and Shonky.

The second place of residence for Ghenacia in the last decade was Ibiza with a long-running residency at DC-10, both as a solo act and with Apollonia - it was to be the last ingredient that formed the artist's leap into the majors. Warm, sex-tinged grooves are what you'll be hearing in this podcast!

Stemming from Transylvania, Dubgrade, a member of the infamous Monocord agency, is an individual who has a strong passion for house music. Started playing in a local club at the age of 14, resulting in an extensive pallet of musical knowledge, driven by over 14 years of DJing experience.

Focusing on a multi-genre selection of non-commercial minimal influenced house tracks, and an emphasis on house and techno, Dubgrade creates an animated, crowd-pleasing experience in every set he plays.

Having such a presence in the scene has allowed Dubgrade to share the booth with artists like; Archie Hamilton, Seb Zito, TOMAN, ANOTR, The Black Madonna, Phil Weeks, George Morel, Andrey Pushkarev, OXIA, Mihai Popoviciu, Markus Homm, Rhadow, JUST2, Ishevski, Ada Kaleh and many more.

His extensive list of artists is only second to the number of festival appearances the Romanian boasts, playing at the likes of Electric Castle Festival, Untold Festival, Neversea Festival, Murmur Festival, Airfield Festival, Motion Festival, Secret Forest and so on.

In between his Romanian gigs, Dubgrade has begun internationally touring, playing in Amsterdam (The Loft, Oosterbar), Zürich (Frieda's Büxe, Spacemonki) and other European Countries.

I'm a sometimes DJ and collector of music across digital and vinyl formats. I've been spinning since '93 and find inspiration in a wide range of styles including deep house, minimal, dub techno, techno, drum n bass. Mostly retired and have been living in Sydney since 2021. I present a regular show on global radio station BPM Radio every Friday 8am UK/5pm Sydney.
