Frankie Beverly, born Howard Stanley Beverly on December 6, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was a renowned American singer, songwriter, and producer, best known as the frontman of the soul and funk band Maze.  He began his musical journey in the early 1960s, forming various groups before establishing Maze in 1970.  Under the mentorship of Marvin Gaye, Maze achieved significant success, releasing nine gold albums and creating a devoted fan base with hits like "Joy and Pain," "Before I Let Go," and "Happy Feelings"  .

Beverly's music resonated deeply within Black communities, becoming a staple at family gatherings and celebrations.  His soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics earned him numerous accolades, including Lifetime Achievement Awards from BET and the NAACP  . In May 2024, he was honored with a street named after him in his hometown of Philadelphia  .

After a farewell tour, Beverly passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 77.  His legacy endures through his timeless music and the profound impact he had on the soul and funk genres.

Dont have a 12 of this although I am sure there are plenty floating around as it was her biggest hit.  I did have a short 3min mix from a compilation 'pack em in as short as you can' mix CD so chopped it up an extended with a little kick to accompany.  I do have a 12 of Love Come Down....might chop that up.....
