This playlist contains all my submissions for the 'Seed To Stage' 2025 January Jamn Challenge.

Jam + January = Jamnuary. A song idea, a beat, a riff, a sound, etc that you have made in 1 day or less.

The January Jamns challenge is when everyone is the S2S community can get together and create 1 jamn per day for 2 weeks and post them for each other to listen to and vote for our favourites.

S2S 2025 Jamnuary Challenge

Jam 1 for Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary 2025. 
Found an audio letter from an old reel to reel tape machine online so incorporated the vocal into the intro and outro to give a sense of nostalgia.

Jam 2 for S2S Jamnuary competition 2025.
Started in Ableton Note and finished off on the PC.

Jam 2 - Noodleoid

3rd Jam for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge 2025. Inspired by a field recording made after hours at the 'We Out Here' Festival 2022.  The recording from around the camp fire is underneath the whole track.  
Not my usual style but there you go.

Jam 4 entry for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge.  Today I have mostly been loosing all objective perspective.  The old phrase "Less is more" does not apply today.

Jam 4 - Nood Le McMeasure Treasure

Jam 5 for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge.  This is an experiment in random automation to make an ever evolving track from the source material.  It could go on for a good 20 minutes changing all the time. I used grouped notes and random follow on actions and effects triggers.  I then edited the result down to this.

Jam 5 - Think in Time MK2

Jam 6 for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge.  Full disclosure, the music and lyrics in this song are original and written by myself from scratch.  The vocalist however is A.I. generated from the lyrics and style I specified.  It took several attempts to get something close to what I wanted.  I then used iZotopes RX9 vocal isolator tool to strip out the lyrics from the resulting A.I. song that was produced.  I then re pitched and warped the vocal to fit my song.  
Like many artists I have a complicated relationship with A.I., hence feeling the need to disclose how I had used it on this track. Hopefully as a tool, not a cheat.

Jam 7 for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge 2025.  Started as a jam on Korgs iKAOSSILATOR app and then moved into Ableton to sequence and all the rest of it.

Jam 7 - Techno Diesel

Jam 8 in the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary 2025 challenge.  This was a jam started on Ableton Note on the ipad and then moved to full Ableton on my laptop, where I then proceeded to use the Roar plugin liberally.

Jam 9 for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge 2025.  
Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if Aliens came down and abducted banjo players?  Well wonder no more!
No, I don't know what I was thinking either but there you have it.  These things happen in Jamnuary.

Jam 10 in the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge 2025.  I started this with a bunch of field recordings of scissors, zips, scrapping sounds and a London city street.  Add in a big wobbly chopped up bass, a synth pad, some vocal chops and a lot of farting about and this is what I got.

Jam 13 for the Seed 2 stage Jamnuary challenge 2025.  Today I made a Jam using a Pocket Operator.  I sampled sounds from some unusual instruments into the P.O. and used it’s built in sequencer to make some odd little tracks. From there I brought the recordings into Ableton and added a bass line and some samples of the somewhat forgotten British Botanist and TV presenter, David Bellamy, talking about Glow Worms.

Jam 11 for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary Challenge 2025.  This track features a recording I made in Goa of a guy called Anil who made and sold HAPI drums there.  I added rhythmic street sounds, drums, bass and some chopped up samples of the HAPI drum for this Jam.

A little Techno track with some words of warning from the past (a tad Orbital like I think)

Jam 12 - Throw Away Culture

Jam 14 (the last one) for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge. 
I was experimenting with Poly-Rhythms for the tribal drums and triplet timings for the melody.  

Jam 14 - Poly Noodle (it came from the forest)

Bleep bloop, I am a human (not a roobit, honest).  
I make musical noise snorkers, although I rarely finish anything.
A whole variety of audio sausages are available for you to sample, all with a good helping of jiggery pokery thrown in for good measure.
