Shapeshifter

So I made a generic EDM song with a chord progression that should last half the duration of the actual song. Sorry. Tried to mix it up, but i didn't really manage anything great in that regard.

Otherwise I'm perfectly happy with this one, I think I got a fairly punchy result while avoiding over compressing. I'm not sure on genre placement thought. Dance or house? Please advise.

4th Dimension

This is a remake of an old song, Horizon. It uses some of the same structure, but I changed it up hugely half way through. This is my first time working with/writing lyrics, so I don't think they're the best, but using a vocoder is fun and I'm somewhat happy with how they turned out.

I don't think my mastering is up to scratch in this one, to be honest. I'm completely sick of hearing this song so I'm not really sure what it sounds like. Maybe I'm just holding myself to ridiculous standards after hearing Xilent so much recently.

I've had some comments on my snares, and I'd like to point out that in my drum and bass songs I go for a dubstep kind of snare sound. That is, fat. I like it fat. 

Consequently, this song is loosely based on Au5 and Collin McLoughlin's "Tendril." Good fucking song.

Anki & Kabuki - Come Alive

This song has a bit of a story behind it. I made it in late 2015, and was ready to upload it within the week - but it was that week that my hard drive crashed, my backup corrupted, and I had to get my computer repaired (related incidents, lol.) I recently found I had a backup of the MP3 of this song online, and thought I'd upload it anyway. It's not finished, and there are definitely a few things I'd change about it, but I still like it - so here it is.

Anyway, sorry for my absence. This is me coming back, and I hope this song is enjoyed :)

Alright, I have a lot to say about this one.

I've essentially pushed what little mixing/mastering skills I have to the limit with this track. I've attempted to incorporate much stronger bass and percussion than usual,
and overall intended to create a more powerful song. I'm not confident at all in the end result, but I'm completely sick of spending hours tweaking it. So here it is.

The intro was based on Livewire's "Fading Light." This was originally an attempt to replicate the intro because I liked it a lot, but I decided to elaborate upon it.

This is also my first time using my own sounds with NI Massive, so the bass sounds kind of amateur to me. I dunno.

I'm also unsatisfied with how un-melodic this piece is compared to my other work, and so I want to make something heavily melody based next song. Probably an Orchestral-DnB
hybrid.
