ًفأجبتها مما احب قليلا
أحب الأمان وأعشق خط التماس الأخير
وأحب العناق على وقع رائحة العنق دون العطور 
أحب قهوة أهل الرصيف
ورائحة السرّ بين خزانة أهل القرى وبين الطفولة 
وأحب كراز المساء , والليل في كل الفصول
وأحب تعداد الثواني في الشتاء
وأحب أمي ودلال موسى على الإله
وبرودة النسمات وحدي في الحصار
وأحب خوفي من لهاث قذيفة تسعى إلي على خفر

أحب الشموع الشموع الشموع 
أحب ظلال النبات الذي دون اسم والذي دون أهل
على ضفة النهر يحنو كيما يمد المضيفي لدورية من ثلاث
وهم عائدون من الحب خلف خطوط العدا
أحب العصافير الصغيرة جداً لأنها أقوى على حمل هوية الطير والحلم والقمح قبل الرواء 
أحب البيت الذي يترائي لهم ضوؤه بعد ساعات مشي بواد سحيق
وأول انثى تراودهم بعد هجر طويل لعيش الرقيق 
وهجر العيون عن الفاتنات
وحجب العيون عن الفاتنات 
أحب القصيدة عند الثغور 
وبين ضفائر مشهودة في الخفاء
أحب المبيت على الارض دون وسادة اهل المبيت ودون غطاء
لأكرم نفسي بأني شبهتها بالفقير
فلست أواسي بظل النبي
