Where Land Meets Ocean

This is the acoustic version of "Kinshipwreck" which is a song that will be included as part of Pixels & Sound's debut concept album, 'Sentimentalism'. Kinshipwreck (Acoustic Version)

"The Wear And The Tear" is a male TTBB choir appropriation of a mixed SATB choir section that will feature in the antepenultimate track of Pixels & Sound's debut conceptual record, 'Sentimentalism'. The melody itself is reprised from the chorus of a song that occurs in the beginning three-part suite of the album's tracklisting.

The Wear And The Tear

"Opportunity" is a surprisingly uplifting song that I wrote while in a bit of a dark place. Along with a movement entitled "Far Too Soon", both pieces were written on the day that my friend, Tia, died. "Far Too Soon" is most definitely the darkest seven minutes that you'll hear on 'Sentimentalism' as opposed to this song which claims emotional triumph through mutual friendship, love and support. "Far Too Soon" and "Opportunity" will appear as parts five and seven, respectively, of the album's closing epic, "Growing Symptoms".

I've Learned To Know

"More Than Circumstance" is a song written for my cousin and given to him as a Christmas present. It is intended as a symbol of brothership and empathy. 

I produced the song hoping to achieve an aesthetic similar to his usual musical tastes. As a result, it is completely devoid of my usual prog/indie rock leanings. Thus, "More Than Circumstance" should not be considered Pixels & Sound canon - merely an outlier of my own creative output. 

Having said that, the song's lyrical content is in keeping with the conceptual ties between 'Prologue/Epilogue' and the as-yet-unreleased full-length album, 'Sentimentalism'. Take that as you will, and I hope you enjoy. Thank you for the support!

More Than Circumstance

“Early Days” is a song that I wrote for the one that I love. It’s about new beginnings and being excited for a future together. Probably the poppiest thing I’ve written thus far, but I still managed to work some 6/4 meters in there. Chose to go with a pretty organic arrangement as well. Strong acoustic vibe with no software instruments at all. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for the support.

The Eponymous Song (Demo Version)

This is a backing track I made of Tonight Alive's "Safe and Sound" for a friend around mid-2012. It was just supposed to be acoustic guitar, but I ended up doing the whole thing. I tried to get as close as possible to the original arrangement, whilst also adding some subtle embellishments. Mixing and mastering are not my forté, but I hope you enjoy this nonetheless (maybe even get a use out of it as was intended). :)
