Solace of the Red Giant

I was asked to DJ at The Rendezvous under a new alias that I have been conceptualizing for quite some time. Although I was unprepared on the production side, I could not pass up the opportunity to play alongside some of my good friends & earliest influences.

Setting a meaningful tone for the entire festival weekend felt challenging yet perfect for where I want this project to go: a return to the roots of how we all got here through the vessel of golden age trip-hop & electronica. More importantly, I wanted to blend rustic gems with newer dancefloor-centric downtempo tracks that have been fueling my curiosity. Stepping on stage & getting to showcase my current & all-time favorite songs, those formative to my personal music journey & @satellite_era as a growing entity, was truly a dream come true. 

I cannot emphasize how grateful I am to have been part of this transformative experience. Endless love to Tipper & The Rendezvous team for all the work they put in to make this event happen - everything was perfect from start to finish. What a privilege it was to play music at the legendary Suwannee amphitheater! I also got to reconnect with so many beautiful humans from around the country after years of sharing this community. A huge shoutout to my brother @relativitylounge for taking this adventure on with me - playing club music together at a renegade in the campsite until 7 AM is something I will never forget.

The first sunbeam of the year just poked through the clouds in the UK, which means it's time for me to send out the promo for Matter:3.

It really does pain me to submit music to distribution with ':3' in the title, but I didn't quite anticipate this when we coined the term Matter:1. Life goes on...

Here we have 3 tracks for your delight, coming from very different angles of our music taste here at ITL.

Opening up the project we have Liquicity stalwart Telomic. He's going back to his roots with this gorgeous future-garage track 'Lapyear'. It's the first time on ITL we've steered away from Drum & Bass and put out something from the peripheral bass genres that we love so much. We hope you vibe with this one like we do.

In the midriff we have young producer from York 'malley'. I gotta admit, I've been sitting on this track for a while, and it feels amazing to get it out to the world. A lot of people were asking for this one after our Rampage set, and I'm delighted to put it out now!

Closing out is some gorgeous experimental music from ADHD & Alkali. I've been hooked since the moment I first heard it. We're big fan of ADHD's style, it's rare to find producers with such a signature style while remaining playful & experimental with every track. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
