This track is based around the idea of opening up ones perspective, trying to encourage multiple points of view. I have a great interest in all the sciences with a particular focus on astro-physics and chemistry, i wanted to use my knowledge within these fields to expand on the idea of perspective using loose scientific analogies. Because of the nature of the topic I decided to use a lydian feel with swirling delays and other effects.

A point of view, for you. To think about. Not just your opinion but the idea of a directional viewpoint. A representation of something that doesn’t have any direction. Yet, that same notion is interpreted differently, by us all. How individual are you? Are you unique just like an entire generation has been brought up to believe?  How individual are you? 

	If we are all able to think differently then surely somewhere within 7 billion brains lay the answer to the largest and hardest of humanities questions. With an infrastructure based around repetitive knowledge regurgitated onto a piece of paper, we are told we are all different, we can all be special. 

But if we are all different then how can the same system be expected to produce maximum productivity and the next Einstein, the next Hawkins, Hendrix, Holiday, Nightingale. How individual are you? Can you really make a worthwhile change to this world? How individual are you? 

See the point is perspective, the point is to be different, you cannot change the world without changing you. Now perspective is elective, you must elect yourself, you must choose. How individual are you? And to answer this the problem is what if perspective is the reason we think we are different. What if. What if. What if. 

What if you choose to believe what you see and hear and feel and touch and taste, without haste if you eat an apple you taste an apple. Like everyone else. How individual are you? 

We like to think the earth as an individual thing. a body of mass that has given refuge, a huge home we call our own. A ball spinning on its axis suspended in space, orbiting a large body of mass, the sun. a well hung star at the centre of attention as far as we can see. 
But you can go further, whilst still thinking about earth with in all these systems, each layer provides a different perspective of the earth as its role changes in each layer. A black hole centring the galaxy, and earth becomes just a quark of the galaxy a building block or sub particles of sub atomic particles. 
 
Zoom back in, and then zoom some more, you are now the black hole and the electrons that make up the atoms that make up your skin are now the equivalent, the earths of your finger tips. You become the ultimate dictating force from this point of view. Do you have full control though? Have you ever touched anyone or anything? Of course you have.

What if. What if. What if you haven’t ever touched or been touched. Of course I have, I touch things everyday! Perspective is key. What ultimately makes up you is tissue, specialised cells. Complex proteins and other molecules make up those cells. This cellular material, protein for example, is made of smaller building blocks, amino acids in this case. These building blocks are made up of atoms, which means the outer most part of everything we are, are just electrons spinning, creating what seems like a shell. These negatively charged particles oppose each other so when  you try to touch any other thing. you aren’t actually touching in the way you think you are. You are opposing them as a force and the sensation of that force is just the repulsion of what you try to touch. 

Think about all of this. Think about you.

Now ask yourself

Spacepective - Songwriting Task 1

So for this track I wanted to try my best to pay a fitting tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio. In terms of songwriting and singing style he has been a massive influence on me. A you can probably hear my voice and style tends to gravitate slightly more towards a Hetfield-esk style but none the less the whole style of the music and the intent behind the lyrics are very much Dio, so I like to think. I really enjoyed making this track as the music started to flow rather quickly and the lyrics wrote them self practically. I make a fair number of references toward Dio with things like the year of birth but also with lyrical references such as 'that was your life' is a reference to a beautiful piano/strings acoustic song with Dio fronting the ensemble. the lyrics were set out in verse chorus section and for the 3 verses i wrote i then cut up the lyrics on paper and randomised them to create 3 completely different verse which I feel actually come across better then the original I wrote.
