A fresh new vibe on the scene, the music of Chad James is that of a messenger of soul and purpose. With an ear for music, a natural gift and an ability to play any instrument put in front of him – Chad is by far one of the most precious gems emerging in the community today. In the spring of 2010, Chad James won first place in the regional Radio Star Singer/Song Writing Competition with his radio hit track “Step to Me” and was flown to Toronto for Canadian Music Week to compete in the 17th Annual National Song Writing Competition where he placed second in Canada.
With the physical debut of his EP titled “Back to the Time”, a three track CD featuring original music produced by Chad James himself. Chad has recently released his first self titled album, which features eleven songs with a colorful mixture of House music, Club hits, RnB and adult contemporary. Chad wrote, engineered and produced all the tracks himself including his two singles, “Cheerleaders” and “Ladies, No Boyfriends Tonight feat. Tha Coach”.
In addition to singing and performing, Chad’s investment into his career as a producer has been in the fast lane since his debut in early 2009. Chad’s production company, Soul Escape Studio as the focal point for his production skills in the studio currently has him producing and recording emerging artists including Fabian the face of the north, Ferreira, Flo, J Blues, SNTFK, Wang the Merciless among others. Known for his natural ear for sound, Chad’s ability to build on an artist’s strengths combined with catchy riffs and sounds sets him apart from others in the music industry.
It’s at the tender age of 25, that Chad’s gift is just beginning to flourish with the release of his “self-titled” album and through music composition, production, singing and song writing. Don’t be fooled – his soulful voice has a soft, smooth edge, speaking a language of art and passion unique to his own. His music embraces and encompasses you wholeheartedly – leaving nothing but the language of soul and music in your ears. A sound to be remembered – and a vibe you won’t forget, Chad James is a gem within the music community.
