Holy Grail Music introduces its 19th release with a warm welcome to the Korean producer Eric Seo, presenting his debut 'Windspeaker' EP on the label.

Eric Seo has been DJ-ing since 2010 in LA and Korea. He has been working as music director for many venues and has been recognized as the first Korean artist to produce and promote Organic House and Melodic Techno genre.

For this debut EP, he presented the two gorgeous warm melodic tracks 'Windspeaker' and ‘Sail With Me’. Moreover, the two tunes are then remixed by the two pioneer Estonian duo about : river and the DJ/producer Joshua Moreno from Trunidad and Tobago.

'Anathema Records closes the Summer season with a Mexican Collaboration between Hardpop’s resident DJ and producer David Teruel, and Guadalara’s finest producer, Marco Balcazar, joining forces under their alias Balcazar + Teruel, bringing to life their label debut EP, Medium EP.

'Medium', is curated by a deep synth foundation overlapped with background harmonies, then integrated over a punchy and steady bassline that integrates additional synth elements combined with arpeggios during the track’s second half.

Anathema welcomes the Spanish rising DJs and producers EKDK to the label, with their remixed version of 'Medium', curated by organic elements and additional tasteful melodies merged with drum beats that instills energy to the pack with a sense of coming back for more.

'Paper Boy' is crafted by a steady bassline combined with eerie sounds and a series of hypnotic synths’ evolution, all-together creating a simple yet tasteful track.

EP closer remix of 'Paper Boy' is in charge of UK based producer, Jonny Strinati, A.K.A. Strinner, who fashions his unique style and signature with a forceful bassline canvas, while keeping the same melodic synth foundations, delivering a classy version.'

This song is made entirely out of samples from the kitchen, I used the fridge door, a clock, a coffee grinder and a sodastream machine.

Kitchen Confessions

Day three of Ableton #LoopAtHome and today's challenge is basically to recreate the sound of a fridge (or freezer in my case), sample some items from the kitchen and create a new track from it. And this is the result. 

For the freezer noise, I did my best approximation by humming at the same pitch. This was the same sound I used for the glassy melodic parts, although modified significantly through FX and filters. 

The percussion comes from a beer glass, followed by the sound of a beer can being opened. (I was getting thirsty!)

Once I had the basic fridge noise and rhythm, I added the three interweaving melody lines. They are actually, more or less the same part, just played at three different tempos and three octaves apart. Even if I do say so myself, the finished track gave me goosebumps.

What a fun weekend of experimentation!

Home Time

Out From The Cold

Submitted as part of #LoopAtHome challenge by Ableton. I used my voice as a fridge noise replica and made the drums from the fridge opening noises. The rest of the sounds used in the track are made from a drain protector, water splashes and a glass.
